The main character is a soap actress. There was so much wasted time on her irrelevant plots on the show she was acting in. If you are a reader looking for a suspenseful romance, the suspense is mediocre and the romance was lacking, seriously lacking.

Hi really enjoyed born to be wild. It had a little bit of everything. It's a book I could read multiple times and still enjoy.

this book completely stinks. characters are totally unbelievable, and the dialogue is inane. Don't care who the murderer is. Don't buy this book.

this book was really good. i didn't know what it was about really when i started it but it turned out to be quite good. it was a thriller/suspense thing. one of the main characters was a soap opera star so they gave soap opera trivia info every couple chapters that i found quite interesting. it's amazing how many people started on the soaps. you might be quite surprised. it was well written, light. also they would play the scenes the character was doing on the soap she was on. (i'm not really into soaps, ok, except desperate housewives and as embarrassed as i am, melrose place).. but the last bit is actually the last scene for the soap she's on. i thought that was quite original (well of course it was, haven't seen that before) and a different spin on things. quite worth the read.

Born to Be Wild by Catherine Coulter
This is a book about a soap opera star and is probably classified as a romance. I’m being upfront here, I use to avoid any book that has a male on the cover with a shirt open to his waste throwing a scantily attired female over his brawny shoulder. I just don’t read them. Well, the cover didn’t have any of that and I got sucked into reading this, in spite of it being a romance. It is a romance with a thin layer of mystery over it. Mary Lisa is a successful soap opera star who is being stalked. Jack Wolf, who in spite of his name is not in show business, is the chief of police where she grew up. His past experience with a nasty ex-wife and a felony-type prank by Mary Lisa tends to make them adversaries.
I enjoyed the book, sad to say, really, but I did enjoy it. There was enough characterization, mystery, and plot to make it entertaining.
