      What a lackluster ending to a middling series.

      Amazing! the writer did not leave anything unanswered, something i'd have hated. there were spoilers, which i hoped weren't true, but unfortunately they were, which made me sad eventually.the book was brilliant in itself however there were new questions, and some mistakes by the writer himself, for one it was noted earlier that abraham is something ancient not an elder, that is contradicted in this book. there were several facts similar to this that contradicts the previous books. isis,osiris the codex etc and their existence.the book went at fabulous pace until the 3/4th of the book, the .ending however seemed a bit rushed and unplanned for.
      event though the book is good, i personally as a fan expected a little more, and found myself a little disappointed.

      Would give this a 3.5 if I could. It's a fun series, and stays relatively self-consistent. The author clearly had a good time linking the many historical and mythological characters :)

      Enchanted with this last book in the series. I first started reading it because of the name. I loved the Harry Potter books. But once you start the first one you find that they are nothing alike.

      An interesting end to an interesting, complex/complicated series. Two main complaints for both this book and the series - 1.) Too many characters and scenes resulted in too much confusion. I really think the book would have benefited from a tighter focus. 2.) Nicholas Flamel was hardly mentioned. I know the main action was with Sophie and Josh, but it felt kind of odd sidelining the title character. Despite those two complaints, I found the book to be an interesting and fun read.

      I actually think this was favorite in the whole series. This series actually reminded me of the Lord of the Rings. It went so slowly at first I hated the pace! But as it drove to a conclusion I couldn't 'turn the pages' or swipe my fingers across my kindle fire fast enough!!! I'm a lover of all things historical, mythological, and legend. The two things I didn't like immediately were the two things that didn't come from some historical, mythological, or legend--and that of course was the "TWINS OF LEGEND". I was repulsed by the mordern intrusion into the world of sacred myth, especially with their attitudes! But I began to temper that feeling as I got to the later books. Why? I began to realize I was being to harsh on the characters because I was actually RELISHING every single moment spent on the other characters from history, mythology, and legend! How could I possibly connect this series or any other series to Lord of the Rings? Yes it is indeed a high honor that I wouldn't even claim for one of my all time favorite series Harry Potter--But would try to make a case that this is definitely under the wings, inspirational roof, and in some way a relation to The Lord of the Rings Trilogy for many reasons. One is that the whole FEEL of the series is LIKE the Lord of the Rings Trilogy is that it could be read in ONE book! I did read the Lord of the Rings the first time in an Omnibus book!!! AND I read the first THREE books of this series like that as well. I feel this whole series could and maybe SHOULD be read like that--like I read the Lord of the Rings. It is a very good story and it is worthy of being read. I just don't think I came to appreciate the FULL story until I read the entire story, much like The Lord of the Rings again! Maybe this experience was unique to my tastes as a reader of fiction mingled in mythic tales and such. But maybe not. I'm not sure. I'm only giving you my opinion.

      The end of the world as we know it could be at hand. Nicolas and Perenelle Flamel have only the energy for their auras to survive one more day and unless help comes from other immortals and the world of Danu Talis, the human world will be destroyed and taken over by monsters. Throughout this book, the reader is naturally rooting for the good guys, but they have been changing. In the previous installments of this series we have seen the Flamels, the Newman twins, and friends like Joan of Arc and St Germain joining together to fight against the immortals that have been on the wrong side. But now we see that the bad guys understand more fully the devastation that may be at hand and so Machiavelli, Dr. Dee, Virginia Dare and others are now with the Flamels and trying to save the world. The ending of a series is always somewhat of a letdown because the reader realizes that the characters that have become friends will no longer be there with new adventures, but the adventures that we did share were definitely worth the ride.

      There were inconsistencies in the story that bugged me as I read them, but they really didn't matter as the book (and series) wrapped up. This was the most action-packed and emotional of the series. More books could have been written; I love the characters and want to know what they are up to.

      A great end to the series! I listened to this on tape and really enjoyed it! This book like the others has wonderful characters and lots of action. The author did a great job wrapping everything up but I was sad to have the journey end - it was a fun ride! I would definitely recommend this book and series as a book-on-tape or book!

      This book is a continuation of the Warlock, the last book in the Nicholas Flamel series. In this epic book, the group of heroes charge into battle in both past and present, on Earth and on Danu Talis.       The Enchantress is the final book in the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series. Beginning where the 5th book, the Warlock, ended-- a great war is brewing between the Elders who are friendly to the Humani (humans) and the Dark Elders who want them dead. All gods great and small, old and young, are taking sides, and the lines between good and evil are getting blurrier by the moment. Good characters are doing evil stuff, while the evil ones are finding glimmers of redemption. Gold and silver Twins of Legend Josh and Sophie Newman have found themselves in Danu Talis, the legendary Isle of Atlantis—10,000 years in the past before the island first disappeared. The other shocker is that they have learned that two of the most powerful Elders in the city, the great Egyptian gods Isis and Osiris, are their parents and want to use them to overthrow the beloved ruler and lead all gods and humans into a bright new era of peace and prosperity (or do they??). The author has created quite a series and this book helps explain many of it’s mysteries. I feel the author wraps up the series in an unexpected but satisfying way. 4 out of 5 stars.

      BEST ENDING TO A SERIES EVER

      Ok, so I took a while to read this. About 2 weeks I think. Now all I
      have to say is that this book is amazing. I am totally in love with Josh in this book and overall in the series. He is an AMAZING character. And yes if you are wondering he does destroy the world. but it is not what you think. He had to destroy the world of Danu Talis in order for Sophie to help begin the Modern World and for the Modern world to rise. See it even makes sense. It wouldn't have made sense if Josh completely destroyed the world because then how can you save it if it destroyed

      I was completely taken aback when Josh became Death (Marethyu) Destroyer of worlds and when he got the hook which was the four swords fused together. I was like WHOAH !!!

      Everything about this book was amazing !!!

      I am also happy that John Dee is not a villian anymore. Amazing how death can change your perception of things and your actions.

      This series was so good! Mythology lessons, a HP/Percy Jackson readalike, fast-paced action, excellent audiobook reader. However, the ending is lackluster. The book is quite good until the very very end. And then I felt like Michael Scott was like "Shoot I need to end this" and wrapped it up very quickly. I also felt like one plotline was left alone for too long, and didn't really understand how it connected to the rest of the story based on how results ended. Oh well. I will still recommend it highly.

      So now that I have finished the series I feel it is better to review the series. I hate starting a series with a great book but then it all goes downhill from there. I want to know if the series is worth reading. Never fear, no spoilers in here. I enjoyed the first few books and found the characters to be well developed and likeable. There were a few books in the middle of the series that were less than stellar. They were not horrible but sometimes the books mid story can get a bit slow and these did. The author did a nice job ending the series though. The final books are surprising and fast paced. I enjoyed this series and would recommend it to fantasy/mythology lovers from preteen through adult.

      I absolutely loved this series. This final installment was a bit more intense as everything came to a close and final questions were answered. While the events that occur in this book only happen over little more than 24 hours, there is a lot that goes on. Final battles are won and lost. Casualties happen and some loved characters are taken by death. True identities are revealed and worlds are destroyed and saved.An amazing and action packed ending to a great and highly recommended young adult series. Even though I wanted to cry by the end, the author left on a funny note. That’s what I love most about this story. Even during the most dire of times, there can still be some humor between the characters. An amazing book and an series.

      This is the final installment in Nicholas and Pernelle Flamel's adventure to save the world with the help of Sophie and Josh Newman. And I have to say - I really liked it.It is a hard thing to finish off a series you have built over years. I have read final installments that left me frustrated and empty and wanting more.This wasn't that way. There was just enough detail to keep me until the end. But, in the spirit of the series - I really don't understand it all. I LOVE that! I also love the old enemies became allies to fight a bigger enemy. That some of the characters didn't make it - and some did.Excellent!My only complaint is that it's really hard to pick up a series a year after you have read the others. All the new readers are at a huge advantage - they can read these back to back. I know I lost details and understandings because I just didn't remember all the past details.

      It is really sad to fall in love with a series and find out that the book you are currently reading is the last one of that series. As a reader, I get really emotional and want todevote all my time to this book, but I realize that when I finish this book, there won't be another book that will be coming out later that will continue the story from where you left off. First before I get to the actual review, I would like to thank Mr. Scott for such a wonderful world that he created throughout these books. This world will leave a lasting mark that I will be sure never to forget. Okay so basically this could be the end for Nicholas and Perenelle. They have had there ups and downs with the twins but of above all they don't deserve to die just yet. However, there will be deaths that will come to you as a shock and this shock will bring tears. I know it did for me. Sophie and Josh, have a big decision to make and this one entail them finding out the truth behind their "parents." Will the phropecy come true and one twin destroy the world of Danu Talis. Well for that answer, you will need to read to find out for yourself. And trust me, tis a huge shocker.This book, left tears sliding down my cheeks and it will for you as well. The Enchantress is a book that will always remain in my heart. I give this book 5 souls!

      This was a fantastic series. I can see several of my male and female students of all ages picking and reading to the end. I believe that not only with the mythology, but the combined history, will captive An audience of middle schoolers. Though it took longer than 6 months for me to finish this series, I found meself: sad, laughing, cheering and getting angry with the antagonist. All the things we as teachers would hope our students might do while reading a book. 6 out if 5 ⭐️s. ( I was never good at Math )
