      I can't believe I read this whole series. I was really disappointed. I usually find something I quite like even in books I don't like, but after reading this whole series there are things I think are pointless and others that just don't make sense. The Erasers? Don't get the point. Kill the flock, save the flock. Why try to kill them? Angel and the voice? Point of that? Really disappointed.

      Ok. So I have nothing against James Patterson, in fact, I love his work. But this book made me want to scream.I have read every single book in the Maximum Ride series. And the ending . . . no. It did not work at all.The thing is, everything got way too repetitive. They get captured, be really smartass to the bad guys, make some miraculous escape. This happens at least once in every book.And the bad guys changed WAY too much. It has gotten to the point where I honestly can't remember their names. The bad guys literally change with every book.And . . . I was just so PISSED with this ending.SPOILER ALERT! If you haven't read it, I advise you stop reading this review.The. World. Ended.And Max is just OKAY with that? What about Ella? Gazzy? Nudge? Iggy? Her mom? Jeb? Anyone she ever cared about?The thing is, James Patterson doesn't actually say who survived. He just mentioned that Max, Dylan, Angel, and Fang were all sitting on a rock, looking at what had happened.Max's primary character is protectiveness over her flock. And she's just sitting there, marveling over how different the world looks?There is so much more that is wrong with this book, but I'm going to spare you the details.I'm truly sorry if you really enjoyed this book and I have made you mad by writing this. I just feel like this series had such great potential, and this ending did not cut it. AT ALL.

      It was interesting.. While I liked it, it wasn't my favorite book of the series.. Everything seemed kind of predictable, and repetetive..

      There were plot twists and I did not like them. I felt like all the progress that the characters had made in previous books was undone in this book. However, I must say that I did like the book because I love James Patterson's writing. Reading Max's voice is always enjoyable.

      Yay! A series I have finished. Check that box off!! Nevermore, book eight in the Maximum Ride series, by James Patterson is a satisfying end to the flying mutant children's adventures. If you have enjoyed the series thus far, you will enjoy this one, too. For me, the greatest thrill of these books has been sharing them with my teenage daughter. 3.5 stars

      This is the last book in the Maximum Ride series (were there reallt 8 in the series?) and quite frankly, I am glad that it is finally finished. I thought that the couple of books before this one were getting repetative in story line. However, since this is the last book, the reader is quite anxious to see how it all will end. There is a bit of a twist at the end regarding how the world's destruction, maybe, happens. But, alls well that ends well.

I have waited patiently for this book and when I got it, i didn't want to read it. I didn't want to say goodbye to a world that I fell in love with from the beginning. I didn't want to say goodbye to the characters that I am sure I wasn't the only one to fall in love with. I just didn't want to say...Good Bye!I was so glad to have one more adventure with the characters that I started crying right from the first page. I was ready to say bye to some but not all. However, James Patterson doesn't give me the chance to say bye when he just....sorry you have to read to find out. The romance in here was the part I wanted to scream at the most. I wanted to yell at Max and call her names for what she was doing but I had to sit back and read what she did. In the end, I had a bittersweet feeling of how it all turned out. It was good but I had my doubts. The surprises that this book and author has in store for the reader is the one thing that will make this book so much more exciting. I knew I gasped whenever secrets were revealed telling you something of a character that you didn't know. The ending for me was alright. I wish it could have ended differently, however, the events that led up to it was so intense that I wish there was more. This book and series is a must read for all readers. I fell in love with the series and I know you will too. James Patterson will take you on a Maximum Ride.

      As someone who has been with Maximum since the beginning I was very excited, even elated to finally get to the end. Nevermore is an epic in itself, showing new readers the world of Maximum Ride at a glance, but it also gives the faithful readers of the series the long awaited answers they have been asking for. The twists and turns the story takes are brutal, and at times terrifying for both the characters and the reader! I couldn't have hoped for a better ending for the friends I've made in these characters throughout the years! A triumph of Patterson's in ever aspect! Do not begin reading unless you want to become completely consumed! Thank you for the end we all deserve as readers! Best 4 hours of the summer so far!

      This final book was really good! James Patterson is really great at writing action-packed stories so it was fun to read.But the love triangle between Max, Fang, and Dylan is so lame and stupid. (Also what kind of a name is Fang??? What is he, a vampire or something?)Anyway, Max finally made up her mind and chose Fang because blah blah blah Max&Fang 4EVER oh ho ho so adorbs.Anyway, I liked this book but I don't think I want to read the ninth one.

      The logic of this series is so crazy... There is no figuring out what is going on. I thought surely the last book in the series would explain all the crazy stuff, but nope... Although now it seems that there is one more installment. For a series that started out with a lot of promise, this one just never seemed to figure out where it wanted to go.

       An excellent novel about a winged family fighting to live against scientists who are planning to experiment on them and want one of the flock member dead. The book goes on and explains the struggle of the flock and family. The book is an amazing read for people who love action, comedy, fantasy, and drama. The book had its ups and downs but in the end James Patterson did an amazing job. He included every detail without using too much. I think everyone should at least look at this book

      This book was probably in my bottom of 5 because it was the last of the series. But it is Maximum Ride so it's still 5 stars. But this gets 4 stars.
      I've been reading Maximum Ride since about 2010, and I was waiting for the new book to come out.
      I read this book in 9 hours. I thought it was ok. Apparently the last chapter was written by a fan, but nothing seemed fan written. Or maybe they didn't do that at all.

      Anyway, I thought this book was AWESOME. I'm Fax, if anybody was wondering. I liked the outcome with Max's choice. But it could have been better. So much had happened so I think that it was sort of too much stuff packed into one book. I think that they should have spaced out when Fang's Gang broke up with the other events, like Fang getting his wing broken by those two dudes.

      Altogether, pretty good.

      The conclusion to the 'Maximum Ride' series. I feel that the preceding book ('Angel') and this one could have been written as one, as it was just a very long and drawn out end-of-the-world scene that ended in a spectacularly anti-climatic way.

      *Bit of a spoiler*: For all the angst and pathos between the main protagonist and two other characters -- for about 2 books worth -- the matter is suddenly and (in my opinion) nonsensically resolved in the end... literally, it all ends well (because it was written just so). (Huh? What?)

      I loved this book from cover to cover, it was the almost perfect end to a perfect series.This book takes you on a journey as the flock(s) try to save the world- yet again- I know that this might seem repetitive but it really worked.The best thing about this book is that it was full of mystery, surprises (it would be an absolute insult to the book if I wrote them down) and of course action, just what you'd expect from a maximum ride novel. Actually, scrap that, the best thing about this book, and all the books in this epic series is the humour and irony. i sometimes end up laughing out loud in rooms full of people.The worst thing about this book is that it was the last one. I've read every one and fell in love with them all.However, this book wasn't perfect...Some of the sub-plots were so predictable it was irritating. Also, the characters have all changed so much. If I read the first book in the series again, I probably wouldn't recognise the characters. Also, in the last few books, more characters are important and it's a bit confusing. If there was going to be more people in the book then James Patterson should have built their characters up more because you didn't know much about them.Another bad thing is that, it has a really cheesy ending, one of the reasons (there are a lot) I like maximum ride so much is that it isn't cheesy.Also, just a point (not necessarily a bad one), the ending was left at a massive cliff hanger (you'll get that joke if you read the book) which confused me a bit. Why does a book need to be left at a cliff hanger if there are going to be no more. Maybe I'm just annoyed because i like the book so much I want to read more!How it was written...The style of writing was very good. It was informal but not too childish and moved fast enough for me not to get board.In conclusion, I would highly recommend this book , don't let a few bad points keep you away.I think it's important that you read the series from the start even though it tends to recap a bit of the flocks basic story (very tedious to someone who has read them all) it will probably be very confusing.I hope this review has been helpful

      Argh! This book has me so irritated. Not because of the apocalyptic ending - I can cope with that, but because the journey there was so diabolically frustrating. This book is about 75% filled with "OMG they're trying to kill Fang" and Erasers and whatnot either attacking Fang or attacking the gang. Then there's about 15% of "who do I choose, Dylan the sweet pretty boy or dark, sullen Fang." Fair enough, even if it did make me want to tear my hair out in frustration. Then suddenly, finally the 99% plan comes to fruition - most of the world's population will die! And then, to cap it all off, in the last 20 pages or so, planet Earth there is a completely gratuitious number of natural disasters. Ack! Why did we have to put up with 75% angst and stupid battles when the whole book could have been Max and her gang vs natural disasters? That would be much more interesting. The other thing that bugged me is ok, we get it the bird kids heal fast - but how come Fang spent like weeks being grounded after breaking his wing, had to hitch-hike across the US to find Max and co, got thrown off a cliff and even worse crippled, before finally limping in with a trailing wing and broken arm - yet the very next day could fly to California with the gang to rescue Angel? These sort of inconsistencies run all the way through - the flock get horrifically injured, yet the next day they're fine, almost as though the author has forgotten what he's done to them. And as for the writing of the battle scenes... Don't get me started.

      I'm just glad it's over. The series started turning sour after #3, temperarily scraped back some redeeming features for 6 and 7 and then flopped again for 8.

      Will I put myself through this series again?

      Why I gave Nevermore 3 stars:1) The ending. Unresolved plotlines much?2) The tone of the book. Max is a hero. She didn't really have the chance to show it in Nevermore.3) The details. As much as I disliked the book, I cannot deny that James Patterson described what was happening well, particularly in the last 40 pages or so.
