About this audiobook
Dr. Carl Houseman, celebrated minister and speaker, is determined to find out what really happened to his wife, declared dead five years ago after her sailboat washed ashore on a coastal island of Maine. Private investigator Terri Blake-Addison must piece together the life of this woman who felt she didn't know or understand the God that her husband so faithfully served. Did Ellen really die in those cold Atlantic waters? When a murder rocks the island, Terri knows more is at stake than just the puzzling life of an unhappy minister's wife.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Right from the beginning, in the prologue, the author catches your interest and holds it until you can solve the mystery along with Teri Blake-Addison, the private investigator in this story. It was a story that really does have you wondering what happened and who are the people you can trust and believe. As the book cover states: "What took Ellen away from her famous husband yearly, to the cold, windy coast of Maine?" This is something Teri must piece together as she helps Ellen's husband find out what really happened to his wife, who supposedly died in a boating accident years ago. This isn't a feel good romance story, but a "finely crafted novel" filled with mystery and suspense. Kept me on my toes and wanting to read the next book in this series, "The Chat Room".
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Got about 25% through this book and quit. Liked the protagonist well enough, but the side-by-side story lines and many characters were distracting, particularly read on the Kindle, where I couldn't go back and double-check who was who.
