About this audiobook
Filled with practical tips and techniques as well as real-life success stories from his clients (including the Grogan family, owners of Marley from Marley & Me) and his popular television show Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, Cesar helps you understand and read your dog's energy as well as your own so that you can move beyond just correcting behavioral issues and take your connection with your dog to the next level.
The principles of calm-assertive energy will help you become a better pack leader in every area of your life, improving your relationships with friends, family, and coworkers.
In addition, Cesar addresses several important issues for the first time, including what you need to know about the major dog behavior tools available and the difference between "personality" and "instability."
Ultimately, what emerges from Be the Pack Leader are both happier dogs and happier, more centered owners.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Uh ... not so much.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Learned quite a few this about my type of dog and me.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I was already dissatisfied with Cesar's arrogant narrative but he really lost me in chapter 6 when he started babbling psuedo-scientific bullshit. Perhaps Cesar should stick to dogs and leave humans to the psychologists.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I have watched his shows and more importantly I have read his books. Here in his book he is allowed the time to articulate his beliefs and practices. That way pet owners can understand what he is doing when working with dogs.
Some methods will work for some dogs, as he says in the book, and other methods wont work. It is important to know yourself and your dog before implementing new training.
This book covers many things but most importantly the concept of being aware and in touch with your pet is key. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I think Cesar Milan is a beautiful person, and I have learned so much through watching his show. Frankly, my first choice would be watching the show (The Dog Whisperer), but the book is good too so if you don't have cable, read the book. Using his methods has transformed the behavior of the dog in my house (my housemate's dog) my relationship with dogs in general and more importantly my awareness of the energy I am projecting at all times. Because, as Cesar Milan shows, our dogs mirror us. I wish that every dog owner would watch the show...and non dog owners as well.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I read Cesar’s Way and enjoyed it quite a lot (though not as much as the TV show). Then I immediately started reading this one. Not such a good idea. Once you've understood Cesar’s basic principles, it all gets quite repetitive. I suppose that some people need a lot of reminders before they catch on to an idea but I didn't have the patience to finish this one.
