About this audiobook
"There are only two reasons a non-seer would see a spirit on St. Mark's Eve," Neeve said. "Either you're his true love . . . or you killed him."
It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive.
Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her.
His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.
But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain. He has it all-family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he's looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.
For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.
From Maggie Stiefvater, the bestselling and acclaimed author of the Shiver trilogy and The Scorpio Races, comes a spellbinding new series where the inevitability of death and the nature of love lead us to a place we've never been before.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love this series and consider it to be comfort-reads. The writing and story, the characters, everything about The Raven Boys is perfect. This is the book I pick up every time I need to escape or feel better about life.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I first read this in high school and, as cringey as it sounds, at the time, I really enjoyed books that was just token girl who I could relate to because she was "different" and group of boys who were good friends and yeah there was romance but it's a subplot. A side story. The whole series was solid.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5this book has been on my to read list for a long time and I’m so glad I actually picked it up. the story was very fluid and had many twists and turns, the development of characters was both shocking and wonderful. I love their relationships with one another, I quickly became fond of the characters themselves and can’t wait to continue with the series!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is an awesome book. Highly recommend it and has unexpected twists
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Blue is so endearing and I love her character. The Raven boys are such a mixed bag and I love them in their own way.
The story seems to be moving fast and slow at the same time, so many little shockers and intrigue but not sure if this type of paranormal is my vibe.
The narration is well done. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5An incredible cast of characters each shine their own light in this strong first installment of a series I cannot wait to continue.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was okay. Not bad. Not my fav. But it was still a bit enjoyable.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book made me cry it made me think there was hope and it is such a good book but it made me cry between every single line.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I'd previously tried the author's Shiver series and couldn't get on with it, but enjoyed this loads more. Starts a bit slow but it's really worth sticking with. The narrator has quite a strong accent but you learn over time that it's entirely appropriate for the story. Recommended!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5very good can't wait to read the next one, like damn.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I seem to be really picky when it comes to narrators, but I loved this one. Good story, good voicing.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely wonderful, I love these characters and the world that this Author has created. The nareation is wonderful, his voice is unparalleled. Absolutely perfect. I love this and can't wait to roll into the next story.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5What the actual hell?
Everyone was raving about this book and when I first read the synopsis I thought I'd love it so very much, that it would end up being one of my favourite books of the year.
Unfortunately, this just wasn't the case.
I couldn't connect with any of the characters, the writing style felt a bit strange to me, the plot was just a huge blur to me, and overall I had lost interest of the book in the first fifty pages or so, mostly because of the confusing plot line, the multiple POVs and the fact that I got something completely different from what I expected to get.
It just wasn't the book for me and I don't think I'll keep up with the series, at least not any time soon. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is one of the best series-openers I've ever read. The mystery unfolds gently, while surreptitiously introducing a memorable cast of characters. Stiefvater's wry humor comes through clearly in her characters' voices and thoughts, particularly Ronan Lynch and Blue Sargent. All of the characters, even those only occasionally mentioned, are so well developed that I expect to bump into them on a random Tuesday. And on that Tuesday, I would gladly join the adventure.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The story itself is pretty good. But this particular recording must be missing chunks. It seems to skip quite a bit. Regardless of if I’m on or offline, downloaded or not.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5the story has a slow start but the ending I just too good. I am glad I have strated this book now and all the rest of the books in the series is already out! the Audio book was also very good
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I loved listening to the audiobook of this ' was so magical' this is definitely a book I would love to read physically and keep rereading cant wait to get to book 2
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’m so totally in love with this book. Going to purchase the next one immediately!! ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book gave me goosebumps just reading it. It was so ominous and atmospheric at times. I really loved reading this book, all the characters fit together like a worn in puzzle. The fit perfectly with the words on the page.
I don’t know if I could pick a favourite character right now, I feel like I’m just getting to know everyone. I will say though, that Chainsaw is an excellent pet name that I may steal in the future. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Wasn’t particularly invested or hooked for a little more than half, the narrator sounded angry most of the time. But what an ending!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was fun, especially towards the end, a bit slow to start
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The book was okay. I loved the narrator. He did a amazing job.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was the first audiobook I’ve managed to complete, as I am extremely picky with narrators, so I found this one to be pretty good. Recommend for those who are into the mysterious and peculiar ;)
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I went into this not knowing what it was about. I wanted to be surprised. And boy was I surprised! I loved every minute of this book. But the ending!!!! It had me SHOOK!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is so good. It's magical, almost musical. I love all of these characters so much. Blue is such an interesting character. I love seeing her grow and learn throughout this series!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Spectacular book, & series. The description doesn't do it justice. It's suspenseful, sweet and has such amazing characters, I can't recommend it enough.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A well thought out, captivating first tale with fantastic, memorable characters. Amazing narration by Will Patton as well, so emotive! Truly unique and quietly hilarious, I don't think this book gets enough hype.
