      Milla Boone's 6 week old baby boy was snatched out of her arms on a bright sunny day while she was shopping in an open air market in Mexico. The aftermath of the kidnapping had a profound impact on her life. She founded an organization to help people look for missing children and she continued to look for her own son.
      Ten years pass and Milla is no closer to finding her son, despite the fact that her son's kidnapping made news headlines. Her single minded drive to recover her son has alienated her family, cost her her husband and sent her into very dangerous situations.

      Heartbreak and obsession are two key elements that drive this novel, but it's the intense plot and interesting characters that will have readers up-all-night.

      A truly heart wrenching story that was totally captivating and full of exciting action. An intense, emotional and realistic portrayal of the heroines struggle. She showed so much strength of character. It begins with Milla experiencing a horrible tragedy then skips ahead ten years when she is running an organization that finds lost children.

      I had no idea this was going to be such a sad book (in places) and made me a bit weepy. Ten years ago, young mother's baby is snatched out of her arms in Mexico - never to be seen again. She becomes obsessed with finding him, running an organization called Finders to help others who have lost loved ones. Then she meets Diaz, an assassin who can help her find out who stole her baby. I was not as into this book due to the sad premise and it was hard to really fall for Diaz, considering his background and how remote he was. Not my favorite Linda Howard, but good, and on audio I did whiz through it!

      A GREAT BOOK! I devoured it in 24 hours. A friend gave it to me, picked up from a second hand book stall, it’s tattered and stained but I gave it a go and I am so pleased I did. The heartbreaking story of a mother searching for 10 years for the baby ripped out of her arms is mesmerizing and the ending had me in tears.

      I should have read this book years ago.

      For years every book recommendation for me started with this title. And I avoided it for some reason that I am not even able to accurately determine. I read the blurb more than ten years ago and it just didn't catch my interest. I'm nearly sure that I even actually started reading the book and then abandoned it for some other reads. And even now, I wouldn't have read this book if not for two different challenges that it fulfilled perfectly. You could think that when I finally started I have totally fallen in love with it and read it in one sitting. Well... no. I read the first 5%, then put it down to read at least two other books and start no less then five different ones. But, as it happens, I had remorse. Oh, no, not about not reading this book this book, no. I felt guilty about not working on my challenge as intensely as I should. So I pushed myself to finally read this book.

      And you know what? All those recommendations are right, this is a really nice story and I truly enjoyed it when I finally got into it. And you know what else? When I finally did it, I couldn't stop reading. I even stayed late at night to catch up with the story! So yes, I admit, I was wrong and all those recommendations were right.

      This would probably never be my favourite book of a lifetime. But that's the case with all the books from Linda Howard. I'm always surprised by actually how many of them I read and enjoyed and now don't remember a thing about them. Her books are like action movies, the really good ones but unremarkable. They entertain you for a while but after a month you can not remember what they were basically about.

      Cry No More is this kind of story. It's a great, immersive read with compelling plot and a pair of distinguished and uncommon characters. Milla and Diaz make a fascinating match, very in a action movie style.

      And even though I already know that I won't remember most of the details about this book, I'm really glad I read it. This is a very good story.

      Milla Edge is a fierce, courageous and strong woman. Since the kidnapping of her son, Justin, snatched away from her arms when only a baby, that she dedicated herself and her strength to find the lost ones and returned them to their loved ones. Milla never gives up and never loses hope on finding her son, no matter how much time had passed.While receiving an anonymous tip about someone that keeps turning whenever she ask questions, Milla goes to the city of Guadalupe in hopes of finally confronting the one eye man by the name of Diaz but what she gets is much more that she could hope for.This is a powerful book, a powerful and scary story, that can make you cry and laugh and hope and even questioning yourself. How far would you go for a lost one? How long would you keep searching for a son? How long is how long?Milla is the mother that everyone wants to have and wants to be, it's the courage and suffering, and love and strength and hope and despair, it's Mother Courage. The suffering makes her a hard woman, a woman with a cause and will to live, with a powerful goal: to find her son; that is what makes her attractive to Diaz, a sort of outcast, a mystery man that we can't learn nothing about, who lives in a gray zone and we never get to really know. Is he a good guy or a bad guy? Is he working to the right side or the bad one? I believe that with this story we found ourselves confronted with some very hard questions: what would we do if it was us? He's the perfect man for Milla and she's the perfect woman for him. Beyond the desire, the raw need, the instinct to protect, is the reconnaissance of something much more primitive, that keeps them bounded.This is a must read.

      The ending was a little wierd...but it was a really great book overall! I love Linda Howard's books!

      Of all of Howard's books to date, this one falls along the lower end of the spectrum. It's very much a Howard book, but something falls short here. Perhaps the main characters . . . which are less appealing than those of other books. Perhaps the plot . . . which dragged along until suddenly twisting up into an emotional upheaval before smoothing back out into an unsatisfying resolution. No one thing stands out to make this book less interesting, but as much as I love Linda Howard I'll have to give this one a thumbs-down.

      Many years ago Milla Edge was almost killed when her son was kidnapped. The kidnapping destroyed her marriage and made her single minded. Now she's getting closer to the truth and it's going to be hard. She finds James Diaz, who is dangerous and determined. They join forces, mostly because her agenda coincides with his, but what will happen when they find the truth, and what will she do if she finds her son.I was a little annoyed at the semi-constant stress on her feminity and feminine dressing. However the resolution and subsequent events were well drawn and logical within the story. Not a bad story overall, I found it interesting.

      Wonderful book, the male hero took a bit getting used to since he was a little more withdrawn than other heroes in the past. But I loved Milla and her strenght. The storyline of the book was hard having dealt with child abduction and Milla quest to find her missing child be Ms. Howard got it all right.
