About this audiobook
A witch's work is never done, and in bestselling author H. P. Mallory's mesmerizing new novel, Jolie Wilkins finds that the real magic is only just beginning.
For smart and sexy witch Jolie Wilkins, being Queen of the Underworld is a royal pain. Back from a round of time travel, Jolie must now protect her realm from the sinister Lurkers-a powerful breed of half-humans bent on conquering the undead. And if there's one thing she knows, it's that the supernatural never go down without a fight.
At least Jolie has her soul mate (and finally official boyfriend), warlock Rand Balfour, by her side. Honorable, brave, and unbelievably handsome, Rand is everything Jolie wants in a man. So why can't she forget the dangerously alluring vampire, Sinjin Sinclair? With her private life heating up and a battle boiling over, Jolie sets out to prove that in matters of love and war, the fairer hex has its own set of charms.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I just finished the latest installment in the Jolie Wilkins series last night and I'm already looking forward to number six coming out (H.P., you better be busy writing!). Something Witchy This Way Comes was slightly different then the previous books. The first part of this book deals with the aftermath of Sinjin's time travel from The Witch Is Back while the rest of the book gives us a more in-depth look at the Lurker society. This book provides answers to some questions ( i.e. if Jolie is "so much more" than just a witch what exactly is she) and introduces some new questions that will likely be answered in the next book.
While I'm continuing to enjoy this series, I do feel like this book was a little short for all that was introduced in it. I would have liked to have read more detailed information about the Lurkers. I feel like these new characters weren't as developed as the older main characters. We spend quite a bit of time with Luce and I know that the author intends for there to be some mystery surrounding this character but I would have liked a deeper look into his mind and thoughts...at least something on the level that we've received with Rand, Sinjin, and many other characters. Maybe in the next installment?
That being said, I am glad that I have discovered this series (and my new favorite character, Sinjin). Each book is the perfect fun and light read for those times when you need something fun and light. ;) I received Something Witchy This Way Comes as an e-ARC and am happy that I did, as I doubt I would have known about this series without the ARC. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Jolie Wilkins, after her previous adventure with going back in time, is more than ready to take her full place as queen over her people, and to finally be a full part of Rand's life. Even though things seem to be looking up for her, she is still worried for the Lurker threat who endanger her people, and whom they will more than likely be at war with, but with the love of her life, Rand, by her side, she is confident, that as long as they are together, anything is possible. What she didn't take into account, is the close the Lurker threat looms closer, the more she learns of herself, and wonders of her true destiny? Only when she relies on her strong bond with Rand, will she be able to withstand the coming storm that could threaten everything that she holds dear.....Something Witchy This Way Comes, is the fifth installment in the Jolie Wilkins series. Ever since the first book in the series, I have always loved this story, and I have just loved this author.....although I didn't know how much I would like this book after the last one, but I found that it was entertaining, and filled with suspenseful moments, that I really wondered what would happen next. It wasn't predictable at all, which was one of my favorite aspects while reading it, that there were surprises here and there. I have to say though, normally I hate love triangles, but for some reason in this story, I have just loved the love triangle with Jolie, Rand and Sinjin, it definitely adds flair to the story and enhances the characteristics of the plot. The only thing I didn't like too much, was how indecisive Jolie can be, but I just love Rand, he is so sexy and appealing and his character is so endearing and one can't help but love him to pieces. Overall a fun and intense story that was very satisfying as the end of the series!!!! Truly Enjoyed It!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Jolie and Rand are finally together and bonded so the drama surrounding the two of them is thankfully not the source of drama in this final installment in the series. There is plenty of drama and action in this book and some secrets about Jolie are finally revealed. Picking up where the previous installment left off we are back in the present and dealing with Sinjin's actions in the past and the Lurker troubles finally come to a head or are they just beginning? Knowing that there is to be a new spin off series allows me to be content with the way this series ended. Without this knowledge i would be a little annoyed and upset as some reviewers seem to be. Yes it was a little abrupt and left many questions open but Mallory has teased the new spin off series which seems like it will focus on Sinjin. If it is set in the present as well it can be assumed Jolie won't be too far away. Which hopefully means we will get some of these answers and hopefully we will get to see more a certain new character introduced in this book whom Sinjin seems to have taken a shine to. This book was by far the strongest of the final three and bought back some of what I loved about the first two books and missed in book 3 and to a lesser extent book 4.
