- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I enjoy reading kid lit between my usual adult fare. Thought this might be fun. After reading it, tho, I don't see myself reading more along this line. Just not my cup of tea. Will 12 year-old Zack be able to save the Earth from a take over by butts? Since his butt has run away to joing the conquering team, and has become the spokes butt, Zack feels responsible to stopping this revolution. He feels that if he can find the legendary Bum Hunter he can stop this craziness. On his quest to find the Bum Hunter Zack winds up teaming with the Kisser and the Smacker and the Bum Hunter's daughter, Eleanor. Together they work to stop the butts from erupting a bumcano. Along the way they encounter a stink tornado, poopoises and a number of other creatures that belong to the species. It is definite a kids' book for the ones that are into fart jokes and the like. There is a lot of action and the characters find that it can take team work to reach a goal. So there are some good points. For me, I guess I grew out of gross - fart humour. I guess I'll stick with other topics. But if this gets a kid to read who wouldn't otherwise...that is a good thing!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a hilarious book about a boy named Zack who has a runaway butt that is psycho. In this book, Zack must fight kamikaze butts, giant blowflies, and a lot of other butt puns. I really liked it because the author was really clever when making up the butt puns, and mixed in adventure with exhilaratingly funny potty humor. I highly recommend this book to all kids because kids love potty humor and hilarious books like this one. This books will give you hundreds of laughs and even eventually gross you out when you look back on Zack being sucked into the Giant Blowfly's proboscis. That's a plus!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5We did not get past chapter 1 of this dreadful book. While my son has a healthy interest in bathroom humor and giggles at any mention of nuts, balls, flatulence, & butts, this was way too juvenile for him (if you can believe it). I can't imagine anyone liking this above 2nd grade, but the reading level seems too high for 2nd graders. Literally, butts jump off of their human bodies and run around with little arms & legs, speaking English words of revolt in flatulence, and have a war with the butt-less bodies left behind for their rightful place in the world; on top of the neck. My 4th grader and I were disgusted.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I purchased this book for my 11 year old for Christmas. I picked it up one day needing something to read in a hurry. It was funny, and clever, and very silly. Perfect for a boy his age. And apparently just fine for me too.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A hysterically funny story about an unlikely, clumsy, and scared little hero named Zack. In this world, butts have little stick legs and arms. They can swim, fly, have teeth, grow fins (can be Great Whites), and they can be gigantic or miniature…in short just like in real life! Zack’s butt has runaway, again, and this time it has gone psycho. The mass butt plot is to rearrange everyone the world over, via buttcanoe, and then let butts “take their rightful places…on top of the neck!” Zack, the famous butt-hunter’s daughter Ellanor, and the B-Team (The Slapper, The Kicker, and The Kisser) team up to take-out the Great White Butt and stop Zack’s butt too! Kisser pulls a nasty double-cross, but luck saves Zack in the end. Ned Smelly also stops in for more comic relief…wait this whole book is comic relief. One butt pun after another! This was a pretty stinking good book! I read it in two sittings!
