About this audiobook

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • From J. Kenner comes the second novel in the fast-paced trilogy that started with Release Me. This sexy, emotionally charged romance continues the story of Damien Stark, the powerful multimillionaire who's never had to take "no" for an answer, and Nikki Fairchild, the Southern belle who only says "yes" on her own terms.

For Damien, our obsession is a game. For me, it is fiercely, blindingly, real.

Damien Stark's need is palpable-his need for pleasure, his need for control, his need for me. Beautiful and brilliant yet tortured at his core, he is in every way my match.

I have agreed to be his alone, and now I want him to be fully mine. I want us to possess each other beyond the sweetest edge of our ecstasy, into the deepest desires of our souls. To let the fire that burns between us consume us both.

But there are dark places within Damien that not even our wildest passion can touch. I yearn to know his secrets, yearn for him to surrender to me as I have surrendered to him. But our troubled pasts will either bind us close . . . or shatter us completely.

Claim Me is intended for mature audiences.

This was a great book. A little suspense and lots of romance. Also, this book did a good job of mentioning things that happened in the last book to help refresh your memory. I can't wait to read more of Damien and Nikki's story.

The attraction between Nikki and Damien continues to grow and flourish in this second installment of the trilogy. As love grows so does the trust between them. Overcoming a lifetime of secrecy, Damien and Nikki share their most intimate secrets as the story develops. Their love is being tested as this story evolves and they finally agree together they have the strength to face what is coming their way. I enjoyed the first book, but I must say, this second installment has drawn my emotions in and made me shed a tear or two. Cannot wait for the conclusion! I was lucky to read an ARC of this book. I fully recommend this trilogy to adult readers.

First I want to say thank you to Ms. Kenner for not giving us the cliffhanger that would have been so very easy to give. I was literally holding my breath waiting for it and squealed when it wasn't there.

Moving on. The second book of the Start Trilogy starts with the agreement between Damien and Nikki coming to it's end. The painting is done and their time is up. Thankfully, neither of them are ready to let go of each other.

"No," he says. "I want to be clear. I don't want our arrangement to end. You're mine, and there are rules. And I want our game to continue."

    Umm, ok!

What we see most of in this book are Damien's secrets. And boy, are they doozies! He has secrets about secrets. Secrets unfolding out of every corner. Bottom line, Damien is one messed up boy. However, he is also loving, loyal, kind, and fiercely protective of our dear Nikki. He is alpha to the core, but not an asshole. Major difference. So many alpha/protective characters cross the line from protective to utterly controlling/asshole. It's a fine line and Damien doesn't cross it, which makes him so damn hot!

Now, Nikki. She is still finding her strength. She still needs the pain to deal with feeling out of control. She finds the pain in her games with Damien but there are times she finds herself needing more. It takes time for Nikki to realize how strong she really is. How much she has overcome and how much she can go through and come out fine. At the end of the book I was cheering for her incredible strength. She really pulled it out and put it on stage for everyone (and I mean everyone!) to see. It was so great to see!

Supporting characters are all still the same. Evelyn and Jamie are absolute dolls. I love them both. I am done with Ollie. He is being an ass of epic proportions. However, I still am holding out hope that he will redeem himself and be the friend that Nikki needs.

Of course you have the scorching hot sex to keep you entertained in this book too. Yes, it's hot. Majorly hot. Melt your panties hot. Just like you expect it to be.

There are still a lot of unanswered questions that need to be wrapped up in the final installment in this series. However, the questions aren't about whether Damien and Nikki are going to be together. In my heart, I believe that they have weathered the storm and now they are a force against everything else together. Now we just have to wrap it all up, find out who the assholes are and get them their happy ever after! Easy peasy!

WOW , This one was so much better then the first one. We got so much more info about Damien .

In Release me we met Damien and Nikki, they both had secrets, they both had issues opening up . We learned a lot about Nikki in Release Me , Damien got her to open up and talk to him about her past . She leaned on him, he helped her to start to heal . We were left with many unanswered questions , but I am happy to say that a lot of those questions were answered in Claim Me.

In Claim me we see that the roles are reversed and as much as Damien is still helping Nikki to deal with her past , she is also beginning to help Damien deal with his past , and working to help him heal from his own past wounds. This is a major case of two people who NEED each other , and who need to lean on each other to help them get through their pasts .

I love how Nikki is there for Damien in this book , she listens to him, lets him open up to her at his will and she does not push him to tell her anything he is not ready to tell . She simply lets him know that he can trust her and she will be there for always . She tells him that no matter what he tells her it will not change the fact that she needs him and he needs her .

Damien does all he can and does not want to tell Nikki all and you can clearly see it is simply because he is trying his hardest to protect her . He will do whatever it takes to protect her . I was happy to see that Damien did open up more to Nikki in this book .

I love what Kenner did with this book , she brought out so much more info and so many things that were not answered in Release Me where answered here . She definitely knows how to keep a reader wanting more .
A lot happens in this book , YES I am going to be waiting patiently for Complete Me , but this book left me in a good place .

This is the second book in the trilogy about Damien and Nikki. This book starts up right where Release Me ends. The relationship is still very strong between them but Nikki is worried that once the portrait is done, is Damien still going to want her. The story goes into more of Damien’s secrets and why he has a need to possess Nikki. However, Nikki is there to support him when he tells most of his secrets. She shows him that he can trust and rely on her as much as she does him. Someone (hopefully we find out who in book 3) leaks to the press about the deal she made with him regarding the portrait and makes her life miserable. The paparazzi follow her and ask her personal questions about her past and her relationship with Damien. Because of the bad press, she wants to revert to her old ways and hurt herself but because of Damien she doesn’t. Damien is upset because he thinks being with him has caused her so much pain. The romance between Nikki and Damien is well written. The story flows and is hard to put down once you start reading it. It is very sexual but also very romantic. Damien honestly cares about what is best for Nikki. This story shows that you don’t have to be perfect that you can have scars either on the inside or outside and still find someone who can accept and love you for who you are. They both admit that they love each other but will it be enough. His last secret is revealed and he decides to walk away from Nikki to save her the pain and publicity. However, Nikki stands up for herself and isn’t going to allow Damien to throw their relationship away. You definitely root for this couple to make it. I am looking to forward to the last book, Complete Me with the hope that there will be a happy ending for Damien and Nikki.Rating-4.5Heat Rating: HotReviewed by DonnaM

Claim Me, the second book in the Stark Trilogy has officially hooked me on this series!! I love how we are slowly getting to know Damien's secrets and in this book we get a HUGE secret revealed and it leads the way for a great opening to book three, which I will have to wait (not so patiently) for. One of the things I am enjoying the most about this series is how Damien and Nikki's relationship is solid. There is really no back and forth/on again off again with them. Yes, they have their fair share of problems but they for most part stand side by side and face them, like a couple in a real relationship should. On a side note, I also want to mention that while most of the secondary characters in this book are pretty easy to like, Evelyn is my absolute favorite!!! I love her and would love to have someone like her that I could talk to!Definitely, definitely recommend that you give this series a try, but make sure you start with book 1, Release Me!!! I received an ARC from Netgalley for an honest review.
