About this audiobook

The murder was ugly.

The killer was sure no one saw him.

Someone did.

In a horrifying vision, Chelsea Adams has relived the victim's last moments. But who will believe her? Certainly not the police, who must rely on hard evidence. Nor her husband, who barely tolerates Chelsea's newfound Christian faith. Besides, he's about to hire the man who Chelsea is certain is the killer to be a vice president in his company.

Torn between what she knows and the burden of proof, Chelsea must follow God's leading and trust him for protection. Meanwhile, the murderer is at liberty. And he's not about to take Chelsea's involvement lying down.

This was quite a suspense, who-did-it story. It kept my attention and had me turning the pages to see what would happen next.Chelsea Adams has had a terrible vision of a young woman being killed in the woods. She thinks she knows who the killer was and gives his name to the police. When they are skeptical of her vision and no one is missing, Chelsea sets out to find the body herself. Then the police start to listen to her. But the evidence just isn't there. It was interesting to see how they went about gathering the evidence and how it can ruin people's lives when they don't get all the facts. There was alot going on in this story and the further I kept reading, the harder it was to put down.

Eyes of Elisha, first in the Chelsea Adams series by Brandilyn Collins is a fast-paced murder mystery that suspense lovers will not want to miss. From the first chapter to the last, the twists and turns in the plot keep the pages turning. Chelsea sometimes 'sees things' and oh boy, did she see something this time. When she brings her vision to the police the intrigue begins. What will the impact be on her husband, on the man she has 'seen'? Will the police even believe her or just think she is a crazy nutcase? Collins has created a believable and thrilling story with characters who are realistic and fascinating. There is a strong Christian theme throughout the book and yet it is down to earth. The Christian characters have faith in God and know the importance of prayer and yet they doubt and have fears as well. Eyes of Elisha is a well-done who-dun-it and this reader is eagerly awaiting volume 2 in the series.I received a copy of this book through The Book Club Network in exchange for my honest review.

Eyes of Elisha by Brandilyn Collins is the first book in the Chelsea Adams Series. Chelsea Adams became a Christian a year ago and began having visions (mostly of future incidents). Chelsea believes the visions are from God. Then she has a vision of a murder that had already occurred. Chelsea sets out to find the victim and the killer. Her husband, Paul, is skeptical about her visions and avoids talking to her about God. How will this investigation affect their marriage? Will Paul ever accept her visions? I did not enjoy Eyes of Elisha. I thought it would be good with the visions and the mystery. However, the Christian elements (a lot of prayer and Bible verses) overshadowed everything else. The mystery was extremely simple (I knew who the killer was as soon as the character as introduced). I like Christian stories, but where the Christian element is barely noticeable (subtle and not in your face). I was not drawn into the story (by the characters or the storyline). I give Eyes of Elisha 3 out of 5 stars (it was okay but its potential was not realized). I just do not think that I am the right audience for this novel. I received a complimentary copy of Eyes of Elisha from the author through The Book Club Network, Inc. in exchange for an honest review.

This first installment of the Chelsea Adams series is a fast paced intriguing read. What would you do if you could see things Athat others couldn't ? Could you stop something from happening if the vision was a warning of something tragic? Chelsea is a mother and housewife who suddenly seems to start having visions. She can't explain them, but knows they are from God. One disturbing vision is so unsettling that she goes to the police to tell them about what she has seen . I can't imagine having visions like she does without being terrified myself. Her latest vision is one of a young girl that has been murdered. She can see vividly where the body is and even who the suspect could be. The story reminds me a lot of the show called The Medium. I loved the intrigue in the story and the characters that jumped off the pages. Sometimes we can't explain why something happens, but we have to learn to trust God and believe He is watching over us. One of the characters struggles with their faith and at times is not sure if he is bold enough to share his Christianity. Are we bold enough to share our faith? Will anyone stand with Chelsea and believe that her visions are from God? The book is riveting and is intense which keeps the readers glued to the book. After reading this book, I wondered how much I really trusted God. Would I accept His gifts without question? Could I be bold in my faith and stand up for others? Don't miss this electrifying book that grabs you from the beginning and never lets go till the final word is read.I received a copy of this book from The BookClub Network for an honest review.

I had such a blast with this book. It catches you right in the prologue and doesn't let go of you until the very end!

Our main character is Chelsea Adams. For the past year she has the gift of receiving visions, sent to her by God. Her husband and her are looking at hiring a man named Gavil to hire as the VP of her husbands business. While at the dinner meeting that she meets him she gets one of her visions. It is the worst one she has ever had and is of a young woman being murdered. When she is free of the vision, she is staring a Gavil who has a guilty expression somehow, and KNOWS it is him.

Her husband doesn't believe her and nor do the police. That is, until she finds the body! The next problem is proving who the killer is. After all, visions are not proof in a court of law.

As the police hone in on Gavil, making his life difficult, he hones in on Chelsea. And now we have a game of cat and mouse...

This book has several questioning the faith, or lack there-of. God's will vs human will, is there a God, why is God doing this? and more are asked by various characters. So yes, for those of you who have a hard time with religious books, this is a strong Christian fiction novel.

Branilyn Collins did a great job with character portrayal. I especially liked Officer Reiger. He is a stead-fast Christian walking a tough line of faith in trusting Chelsea, and finding evidence and remaining professional on the job.

This story takes us through the investigation, betrayals, the court room and beyond. While the story may seem cut and dry and you think you know how it is going to end, don't bet on it too soon. After all, there is often more than what meets the eye!

My only drawback to this book is that I want to know what is going to happen with certain characters and the author left that hanging. I hope some of those characters will make an appearance in the second book so I can get more answers.
