About this audiobook
Say good-bye to the stress of mess – for good! You can find the order, beauty, and peace you desire – and deserve – in your home. Organizing for Life reveals the secrets of keeping your house neat, clean, and organized without spending every minute of your life working on it. Finally an audio book that goes beyond the how-tos of cleaning and looks right at the heart of messiness so permanent change can take place. You'll learn why things are out of control so you can get them back in order and keep them that way. You'll uncover the mental and emotional roots of clutter – guilt, fear, rebellion, habit – so you can get rid of it. Even the best cleaning methods are useless if you can't keep up and soon slip back into old habits. Stop struggling. You can overcome that old, unsuccessful mind-set and discover a new way of thinking that makes messiness a thing of the past.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5the psychology of why people are messy is interesting but there isn't much practical advise on how to change, and the religious and biblical quotes are just too much.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Basic points (good), theoretical instead of evidence based (not great), religious (not for me).
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent. Opened my eyes to a different way of thinking why I am hoarding and can't let go.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It made me accept I am a messy person. It does establish the fundamentals for the change . I liked it , it triggered few buttons ,it was unpretentious ,but with a strong /powerfull effect. The religious aspect ,whilist mentioned, did not bother me ( i m not a believer per se) .
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Has a lot of wisdom but is dated in places (telephone table, Roladex, etc....kinda charming LOL). It contains some religious references (that some might value), but the rest of the info is valuable. I especially found the personality tendencies interesting. I'll be checking out the other books she wrote and Messies.com
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I... resent this book. I was very annoyed at how it gave little advice and lots of therapy throughout the book. Most of what it presents is about the spirituality and psychology of being messy. But I came to accept after a while that it hits too close to home. Rather than teaching the reader how to clean and organize, it teaches them the mindsets behind why they've found they "can't" be organized and how to overcome these deficiencies.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It's good, but it's not a miracle worker.
