About this audiobook

Don’t Look Down

Because you’re trapped on the 40th floor of a deserted office building by a psychopath called “The Butcher.”

Don’t Look Down

Because you’re an ex-mountain climber and a fall from Everest left you with a bad leg and a paralyzing fear of heights.

Don’t Look Down

Because The Butcher has slaughtered the guards and short-circuited the elevators—the stairways are blocked, and for you and the beautiful woman with you, there’s only one escape route.

Don’t Look Down

Because 600 feet of empty space are looking back at you.

Really bad, early novel Koontz originally put out under a pen name, which should have been allowed to go out of print, never to be resurrected. The relationship between the two baddies is like something out of one of those comedies where you cringe so hard you might chip a tooth as you grimace and turn away. The best example of this unintentional humor has to be the scene where one of them thinks back to the night they shared a hooker and he imagines their penises coming on each other, but not in a gay way, no, no, not like that. I know it only took about five hours to plow through this book, but it felt at least twice that long.
