- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Totally Awesome , made me laugh and cry. A must have.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Defiantly not your A typical photography book. You can actually feel the emotions of his subjects. i was so captivated by some of his images. There was a quote that he put in there " i will leave my mark on the world of photography and i will do it on my own terms just like i did with my music" That quote has stuck with me since i have read it. The reason it has stuck with me is cause you made me remember the first time i picked up a camera and how i felt at that particular moment and what made me enjoy photography so much. He reignited that fire in me with that quote... i dont think i will ever forget that quote. He tells stories that when you you look at the corresponding photos you tell how he felt. THat is how photography is suppose be, its suppose to capture the emotion of the viewer. Without even reading the book and just looking at the pictures you are captivated by the depths of their soul. You can see the hurt and the pain in his subjects. Defiantly not something i would have expected from a rockstar/ herion addict/ high school drop out. I read the the Herion Diaries and i was so excited to finally read this book. Every photographers perspective is different and to see his was truly captivating. It was written very well and i would recommend this book to any photographer who has lost their way and forgot what the passion was all about. This will defiantly restart that fire.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I have always loved Nikki's music but never knew anything about the man. While reading this book I learned about the man behind the famous name. A very interesting and insightful book. I enjoyed reading about his perspective on life and his photographs are unique and amazing.
