About this audiobook
Calling Anna and Bennett's romance long distance is an understatement: she's from 1995 Chicago and he's a time traveler from 2012 San Francisco. The two of them never should have met, but they did. They fell in love, even though they knew they shouldn't. And they found a way to stay together, against all odds.
It's not a perfect arrangement, though, with Bennett unable to stay in the past for more than brief visits, skipping out on big chunks of his present in order to be with Anna in hers. They each are confident that they'll find a way to make things work...until Bennett witnesses a single event he never should have seen (and certainly never expected to). Will the decisions he makes from that point on cement a future he doesn't want?
Told from Bennett's point of view, Time After Time will satisfy listeners looking for a fresh, exciting, and beautifully-written love story, both those who are eager to find out what's next for Time Between Us's Anna and Bennett and those discovering their story for the first time.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is an enjoyable follow up from Bennett's point of view. I didn't remember a lot of details, but it did a pretty good job of naturally reminding what happened. I remembered that romance that shouldn't have happened because in different times but did anyway, that I thoroughly enjoyed. And while it is present in this one, we see them apart more than book one. We see a lot of character development from Bennett and him struggling with the limitations of his travelings, and possibilities of changing what bothers him. Bennett is as sweet, charming and conscientious as ever, but he does learn a lot about how he has been spreading himself thin. He realized the friends and family in both places that wanted and deserved his whole head instead of always divided between two times or not. I flew through the story, hoping for certain things to fall into place, some suspicions confirmed that I wished weren't true, and other twists taking me by surprise. To me, I forgot all of the details about time travel and the specifics, but I didn't harp over the inconsistencies or the things that didn't quite make sense because some of it I am not scientifically minded to understand anyways, I just love the concept not the hows or whys. So it may bother some people, but for me it is about the very idea of time crossed lovers and how they make that work in the emotional not science realm. And on that level Ms. Stone delivers beautifully. There are some really tough choices explored and I loved the flawed perfection and internal struggle and anguish it brings out in the characters. It forces them to look past the blinders into their hearts for the answer even if it is not easy. I reviewed Time After Time because it was available as an e-arc. But it is a book that I would have bought after release or at the very least checked out from the library, because I enjoyed the first book so much and I wanted to be back in their world and see what happens with their romance. The ending isn't as complete as I would like it to be, but it is kind of perfect in that contemporary sort of way. In that the main issues in the book are tied up and there is a half way open ending where I can keep imagining the characters and how they get to the spot that I know they will be and what will happen to them after that. Bottom Line: Sweet conclusion that I devoured.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5TIME BETWEEN US was one of my favorite books of 2012, at the time I wasn't sure if it was a standalone or if there would be another. The story ended nicely and could easily stand on its own but I just wasn't ready to let go of Anna & Bennett. I crossed my fingers and hoped for more!! Thankfully Tamara soon announced that there would be a book two, TIME AFTER TIME, and I was beyond ecstatic. Even more so when I learned it was going to be told from Bennett's point-of-view. I LOVE Bennett, he is one of the greatest guys in contemporary fiction. The story transitioned to Bennett's point-of-view so seamlessly I forgot the first book had been told by Anna. The best part about this book was getting to see more of the details about when Bennett travels. From Anna's perspective, POOF, he's just gone, but this way we got to see more of what exactly Bennett has to go through each time he travels. One of the many things I love about these books is that there is nothing objectionable; no swears, no sex, no drugs. The characters are sweet, the romance is sweeter and family is a big part of the story. I love that Anna has a healthy relationship with her parents and while Bennett's family relationships might be a little more strained, they still love each other so much, which is refreshing to see in YA.Overall, an amazing sequel to an amazing series. Seriously if you haven't read these yet, I'm not sure we can be friends. . . okay I guess we can ;) but you should still go read them! Two of the BEST contemporary books I've ever read!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5ACTUALLY 2.5 STARSDue to copy and paste, formatting has been lost.I remember when I read Time Between Us, I thought it was a pretty good read. I liked it, I liked Anna and Bennett, but I thought that it was a little cliched. I still ended up giving it four stars, though.Time After Time was a completely different experience for me. I just couldn't shake the thought, throughout the book, that Anna and Bennett just shouldn't be together. They're from completely different worlds! They'd never really be able to keep up an actual relationship - I mean, they could never live together or get married and have kids, because Bennett doesn't belong in 1995, and Anna can't go to 2012. All that they're doing is causing a whole bunch of heartache for themselves. So really, I couldn't fall for them as a couple. Several times I just wanted Anna and Bennett to let each other go, to just live in the moment. I found myself not wanting them to work out.I had to push myself through parts of this book, because I felt like the plot just moved so slow! There was a definite bumpedita theme going on here, and the fact remains that the romance just wasn't working for me. The next thing that bothered me was the time travel - I loved it in the first book, I really did.But in this one, I kept questioning it and everything that Bennett did with it. I couldn't help but think about the fact that he has inadvertently caused a lot of the things that shouldn't have happened. He's messed up a lot of stories, that's for sure. All in all, Time After Time just wasn't for me. The time travel just didn't work, and I found myself hoping that the lead couple would just break it off.
