About this audiobook
Charley Redford was just an ordinary girl until Jake Caplin moved to her small town in Indiana and convinced her she was extraordinary. Almost from day one Jake pulled Charley into the deep and promised he was right there with her. But when a tragic incident darkened Jake's life, he waded out into the shallows and left Charley behind.
Almost four years later Charley thinks she's moved on. That is until she takes a study year abroad in Edinburgh and bumps into none other than Jake Caplin at a party with his new girlfriend. The bad-boy-turned-good attempts to convince Charley to forgive him, and as her best friend starts spending time with Jake's, Charley calls a truce, only to find herself tumbling back into a friendship with him.
As they grow closer, the spark between them flares and begins playing havoc with their lives and relationships. When jealousy and longing rear their destructive heads, Charley and Jake struggle to come to grips with what they mean to one another.
And even if they work it out, there is no guarantee Charley will ever trust Jake to lead her back into the deep . . .

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I absolutely love Samantha Young! My all time favorite book in contemporary romance is "On Dublin Street." This book has a lot of Young's flare, but I still love the Joss and Braden romance more. Another very good book though!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Second chance love. What happens when you meet your soul mate when you are 16 and then things go terribly wrong. Charley and Jake have obstacles. When they meet again 3 years later and Jake has another girlfriend I wanted to throw my kindle. The supporting cast made me keep reading and fall in love with these characters. While they spend a year in Scotland (where Jake suspected he would find Charley again to make amends)it only takes him a few weeks to realize he is still in love with Charley. Does he end things with Melissa? NO. I takes a few more months of him trying to be a nice guy and one rather difficult run in with Charley's father before he gets it. I need to know more about Jake and Charley and how they each find their HEA. I hope it is together. I really hope the second book is more of a Claudia/Beck focus. I can't take more angst from Charley and Jake.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I am a huge fan of all things Young. I was honored to be allowed to read this book prior to it's release date (ARC).
I must say that this book is fabulous. The passion that is shown in the book (by all characters) is amazing. I have not loved a book this much since On Dublin Street.
This is a must read. I will have a more detailed review of this book closer to the release date.
Last words until then..."Pure Genius!" - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I wish i'd known going in it ended on a to be continued...I would have waited to read it. The characters are younger in this book than in the others of Young's I've read. I didn't enjoy this story as much. The main reason I don't read YA is because I don't care to read high school romances. With the bouncing back and forth from the past to the present, that's what I felt like I was reading.
I did enjoy the book, but not as much as her Dublin Street series. I do plan to read the next book. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Oh man, I wanted so badly to love this, but I just couldn't do it. I may write a proper review later.
The phrase "into the deep" is repeated like five times in this book. WHY?!? Title call-outs are soooo lame, guys. Please stop doing them.
