About this audiobook

The body lay amid the garbage behind a Seattle grocery store—a tall, well-built male—dead.  Detective J.P. Beaumont’s twenty years on the force has given him sixth sense about people—especially guilty ones.  So when he found out the victim—a high school basketball coach with a very pregnant wife—had been lynched, Beaumont suspected this murder was connected with the extremes of love and hatred. Love for the wrong kind of woman...and the hate of those who took justice into their own blood-soaked hands.

Enjoyable story with plenty of twists. Story continues from earlier books.

This is a reread for me and I had forgotten what a grumpy, misogynistic man JP is. Luckily the series shows great character development. Enjoyed this mystery.

This third book in the J P Beaumont series is quite an intriguing mystery. It took a turn I was not expecting. A high school coach is murdered, found with rope marks around his neck. Beau and his partner have to dig deep to discover who hated the coach enough to want him dead. In the process, they uncover some other secrets that end up changing the lives of several others. The book has an exciting end, and will undoubtedly spur readers on to the next book. The audio version is superbly performed by Gene Engene who does an excellent job narrating this series.

Trial by Fury, is the third in the J. P. Beaumont mystery series based in Seattle. Like a lot of mystery stories, this one depends on some huge coincidences. I dislike that. But overall, it’s cheap easy fun reading. Neither great nor awful.
