About this audiobook

A simple and sustainable path to a deep and satisfying walk with Christ

There are thousands of how-to books for improving various areas of life--self, relationships, finances, fitness, business, marriage, family. And there are nearly as many books written for believers offering a framework for the "right" approach to a new life in God.

What if it were possible, Pastor Stovall Weems asks, to boil it all down to one practical, uncomplicated principle that would yield the vibrant, purposeful spiritual life so many are looking for? What if, in our relationship with God, we had one simple and sustainable touch point to experience a deep and satisfying walk with Christ?

In The God-First Life, Weems shows that true success in our walk with God and in life in general is not an issue of need, but an issue of order. Brilliantly unpacking the simple Scripture in Matthew 6:33, Weems gives a fresh and practical perspective on what Christian "discipleship" is about. Bringing clarity, depth, and simplicity, Pastor Weems makes clear core truths that have been misunderstood by many Christians and non-Christians alike.

God’s way – adding these two words can change our perspective on daily living. It is so simple – just put God first.Matthew 6:33 – But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.“Seek ye first the kingdom of God.” – God promises you a new family.“Seek --- his righteousness.” – God promises you a new life.“All these things will be given to you.” - God promises you new freedom.Happiness isn’t about more, better, or greater; it’s about order. If we get the order right, God promises to meet our needs, and with unexpected blessings. An interesting section on Talking with God is explained by breaking down the Lord’s Prayer. When we pray, or talk to God, our prayers should be genuine because it’s really about connection.Divided into four sections:New PriorityNew FamilyNew LifeNew FreedomAnd there is so much more, told in depth, but in a clear and concise way that we can understand. Rich in content, The God-First Life is both inspiring and thought provoking. It will encourage you to put “God First” in your life. I highly recommend. 5 stars.I received a complimentary copy of this book from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for and honest review.

Pastor Stovall Weems explores the God-first Life. If you really seek His Kingdom first and trust that He will take care of the rest, your life will be transformed completely. Whether it's about your financial situation, understanding why church membership is important, and why discipline in reading God's word, listening to His voice are crucial to see miracles happen. The God-first life is not about strict rules or what you need to do or give up, but basically who needs to be #1 in your life. Elaborating the promise in Matthew 6 verse 33 Weems gives a fresh and practical perspective of what Christian discipleship is all about. The book's great for both young converts as well as seasoned believers that may have forgotten the very basics of a Christian's main priority. I rediscovered core truths that have been mystified and misunderstood by many Christians for years, thinking they did right and had church in a God-fashioned way. Dare to redefine your life's order.
