Romeo & Juliet is the ultimate tragic love story that has fuelled romance over generations and inspired numerous adaptations for stage, screen and beyond. The story of a feuding rivalry between two prestigious families in Verona the Montagues and the Capulets, ends in tragedy when a young member of each of these families fall in love. This narrative version was written by Mary & Charles Lamb.

William Shakespeare is widely regarded as the greatest playwright the world has seen. He produced an astonishing amount of work; 37 plays, 154 sonnets, and 5 poems. He died on 23rd April 1616, aged 52, and was buried in the Holy Trinity Church, Stratford.
