About this audiobook
Wilhelm Reich (March 24, 1897 – November 3, 1957) was an Austrian-American psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, known as one of the most radical figures in the history of psychiatry. Reich argued that mental illness and some physical illnesses were the result of deficiencies of cosmic energy, as measured in units called "orgones", and lack of orgasms. This recording is his lecture on his Orgone theory.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Your explanation of Reich's work is erroneous. Reich never used the term "Orgones" nor did he explain neurosis and mental illness as a deficiency of Orgone. He did describe the function of Orgone energy in the body and what happens to that energy when a person is repressed through the usual mechanisms. Reich never would have quantified Orgone in "units".
