I had read this Brit Montero mystery before, but didn't remember until I was half way through it this time. It's a fast read, and I love Buchanan's writing. She's a talented story-teller.

This is another Britt Montero, investigative reporter, book. Young want-to-be reporter working in research takes advantage of Britt in an "All About Eve" movie variation making Britt appear dumb while investigating and helping a street kid caught up in a dangerous gang.
