About this audiobook

“Cactus” is included in the short story collection, called «Waifs And Strays», published in 1910. This novel tells us the love story of a young man named Trysdale. He was inspired with love to a girl. Reciprocating his feelings, she lifted him on a pedestal, sincerely praising his skills and talents.

But did all these praises were deserved? Trysdale did not doubt it, taking the admiration for granted, gave himself over to the power of arrogance and vanity. What has it led to and what role a cactus played, you will find out by reading O. Henry’s short story of the same name.
