This book is so beautiful and heartbreaking. And I sobbed the whole way through. It’s very disturbing that there are people who live like this, or rather just don’t live at all. My heart goes out to each person that wanders through life and experiences these things. I pray that somehow they will be able to see an angel.

The writing is beautiful and clear - not bogged down by poetry but rather enlivened and whittled down to a simple, clear, luminous voice. A heartbreak of a tale about a young woman lured into drugs and then prostitution, whose empathy and spirit comes alive again when a new young victim moves into the house.

A grim, ugly subject but a beautifully told story, poignant and full of compassion.
