About this audiobook

Award-winning humorist Patrick F. McManus delivers a funny and folksy whodunit from his popular Sheriff Bo Tully series. Hoping for a pleasant day of picking huckleberries, Sheriff Tully instead finds himself investigating a triple homicide and the disappearance of a local rancher. While on his way to pick huckleberries, Blight County (Idaho) Sheriff Bo Tulley comes upon the bodies of three young men, all shot execution style. From their callused hands, Bo figures they are farm workers. Because the bodies are on federal land, the murder case falls into the bailiwick of the FBI – if Bo reports the crimes to the agency. When an attractive FBI agent shows up to claim the case as her own, Bo figures he can dazzle her with the Tully charm to let him lead the investigation. After all, the agent is likely to approach the investigation in a by-the-book way. And the Blight County Way offers more flexibility. Agent Angela Phelps isn’t the only woman who succumbs to Bo’s charms. There’s his deputy, Daisy, with whom he had a fling, the county medical examiner with whom he had a romance, and a fortune teller Bo consults to help find the body of a missing husband. Bo Tully is a true renaissance man: tough law enforcement officer, acclaimed artist, hopeless romantic and just about the coolest hero in crime fiction. The Sheriff Bo Tully mysteries are favorites of mine and I really appreciate their top-notch writing, terrific storytelling and the subtle humor that permeates their pages. In my mind, The Huckleberry Murders is the best yet. Keep them coming!!!
