About this audiobook

Facing her future as a single mother, psychic Realtor Melanie Middleton is determined to be strong and leave her past with writer Jack Trenholm behind her. But history has a tendency of catching up with Melanie, whether she likes it or not .
Melanie is only going through the motions of living since refusing Jack' s marriage proposal. She misses him desperately, but her broken heart is the least of her problems. Despite an insistence that she can raise their child alone, Melanie is completely unprepared for motherhood, and she struggles to complete renovations on her house on Tradd Street before the baby arrives.
When Melanie is roused one night by the sound of a ghostly infant crying, she chooses to ignore it. She simply does not have the energy to deal with one more crisis. That is, until the remains of a newborn buried in an old christening gown are found hidden in the foundation of her house.
As the hauntings on Tradd Street slowly become more violent, Melanie decides to find out what caused the baby' s untimely death, uncovering the love, loss, and betrayal that color the house' s history-- and threaten her claim of ownership. But can she seek Jack' s help without risking her heart? For in revealing the secrets of the past, Melanie also awakens the malevolent presence that has tried to keep the truth hidden for decades ...

A most excellent 5 star read!As usual, Karen is at the top of her game. This series just tickles my fancy. I love the southern setting. I used to live in the south and when I read about it, I miss it. I love The Tradd street series with its mystery, humor, ghosts and just a pinch of sexual tension that is so refreshing!! All of Karen's book are wonderful reads, I will continue to be excited every time I see she has a new one coming out.

Compared to the first two books in the series this book sucked out loud. Melanie is pregnant and it makes her nuts.

I was disgusted when she let Jack and Nola force her into putting a giant stupid piano into what was supposed to be her new study. Helllllloooo doormat.

Everybody knew the inevitable marriage of Jack and Melanie was gonna happen. You don't have to read very much of the book to get constantly hit over the head by the foreshadowing.

Her father squandered the trust she had been using to repair the house and she is very la-te-da about it rather than being pissed with him for being an idiot.

Also when the 'heirs' show up...ugh...

Melanie is having twins I thought that it would turn out that she or Jack was somehow actually related to the Vanderhorst family. That would've been SOOOO much better.

She is so gung-ho about going to fight the heirs for the house and I was actually hoping she would beat them but an encounter with a stupid ghost makes her totally cave. She decides to just hand over the house without a fight. Seriously?!

I hate the way she ends up buddy-buddy with the heirs in the end and I hate the fact that she married Jack and has adopted the stupid and annoying Nola.

It seems that a theme in so many of these kinds of books is to take a strong independent woman and turn her into dependent pathetic shadow of herself. So sad...

Mellie is pregnant and living in the house she inherited from one of her real estate clients. While suffering through morning sickness, she hears a baby crying and when she comes down to breakfast her handyman tells her that he's uncovered a baby's skeleton in the foundation around the house. More spooky incidents occur while Mellie tries ignoring her pregnancy and tries ignoring Jack, the man responsible for her pregnancy. Long loss relatives turn up to put a claim on the house while Jack integrates himself into Mellies home and life.

This was the first book I had read by Karen White. Although this is the 4th book in this series , I had no difficulty in following the story and the characters. The book is set in Charleston, south of Broad, a very historical and pricey area. The main character , Melanie, is a realtor who inherited the 55 Tradd Street property. Melanie has the ability to hear, see and smell the ghosts of Tradd Street and also Charleston. In the process of making repairs on the foundation of her home, the contractor discovers the skeletal remains of a baby. Melanie, is pregnant with her first child, not married and at cross purposes with the baby's father. Her life is then further complicated by the discovery of baby's remains and a ghostly presence in the house saying , "mine".Very good characters make this book a very good read. I liked the humor and history that weaves through the story. The ghostly happenings are very well done and the romance between Melanie and her baby's daddy add even more. I will be catching up reading the first three books about this area of Charleston and awaiting Ms White's next book.Read from an uncorrected proof supplied by GoodReads.

This is the fourth and final book in the Tradd Street series. Karen White does a fantastic job of mixing the romance and the supernatural. It was a fun book to read and a great conclusion to the series. I plan to go back and re-read all four of them. If you haven't read the first three, you can read this one first and not be lost.. I love Charleston and the book gave great descriptions of the city. I highly recommend this book.

An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review. This did not influence my thoughts in any way.Return To Tradd Street is the fourth book in a series that began with A House On Tradd Street. I have read every single one and enjoyed them all. This book continues with Melanie and Jack's story. It takes place in Charleston and like all the other books, has a ghost story. This book is a great addition to a fun series. I look forward to more.

Returning once again to Tradd Street, Melanie Middleton continues to work on her home and her life. While repairing the foundation, a small skeleton dressed in an exquisite christening gown is discovered, bringing with it a new haunting to 55 Tradd Street. As Melanie and Jack try to discover who the infant was, they also try to discover what their own future holds...and if they do indeed have a future together. This book #4 of the House on Tradd Street series. Another great paranormal mystery with history and romance. Onwards to book #5: The Guests on South Battery.

The continuing saga of Millie and her gang of family and friends. Millie never cease to cause more problems for herself by being stubborn. A fun and charming lightly paranormal adventure of crying babies, skeletons in the closet and in the ground. A pleasant read.

Return to Tradd Street was definitely my favorite in the series as have read them all, among many of Karen White’s books. I purchased from audible.com and the narrator was excellent, capturing the slow southern charm of Charleston, SC. (have worked in Charleston previously and one of my favorite towns in the south).

As usual, loved the witty and humorous characters and lines; this book could be read as a standalone; however, you will want to read them all! I love Melanie (40 yr old) – psychic Realtor, living in this old historical home in Charleston with ghosts given to her by a man (she had only visited the home once before he died and was left the home).

She and writer (and playboy) Jack go back and forth with their love relationship which always keep you laughing.

Had to finish it quickly as so enjoy White’s writing style and her love of the south! Hopefully we will hear more from this fun couple!

Charleston, South Carolina is one of my favorite cities. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve been there. It is no wonder I fell in love with RETURN TO TRADD STREET. The descriptions of Charleston are so vivid, I instantly recognized places I have been. I’ve stayed at the Charleston Place Hotel, and it’s every bit as elegant as Karen White portrays it. The Palmetto Café where the main character Melanie (Mellie) Middleton and her best friend meet for lunch is not to be outdone. I don’t think there is a museum I haven’t visited, and Tradd and Legare, East Bay Street, South Battery, and Broad are streets I have walked. Mellie has inherited a beautiful stately old Charleston home, as well as a housekeeper, and a dog named General Lee from Nevin Vanderhorst after only meeting him once. She is a realtor that specializes in old homes, and she met him to discuss putting his house on the market. She is pregnant and has told the father Jack Trenholm she won’t marry him. Jack has a teenaged daughter, a talented musician, who has the typical teenage clashes with her dad. Nola and Mellie have bonded, and Mellie often finds herself in the role of “mother”. The story was fantastic. I could hardly put it down. There are several conflicts in the story that Mellie needs to solve. Mysteriously, she hears a baby crying while in her house. Is she in love with Jack? Will she get to retain ownership of the house? Does she even want the house? How will she and Jack work out the details of parenthood after the baby is born? There is a lot of action to keep you turning the pages. The characters were fascinating. Do Mellie and her mother have psychic powers? Can anyone be as handsome as Jack? The Gilberts come into the story, and in the beginning I disliked them, but as Mellie learned more about them and came to like them herself, so did I. Sophie, Mellie’s best friend, has a very colorful way of dressing, not at all stylish, but is what everyone wants in a friend. I could describe these characters and more in greater detail, but I don’t want to spoil the book for other readers. This is the first book by Karen White that I’ve read, and it definitely won’t be the last. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance with a bit of a mystery as well.
