About this audiobook
Stormwalker Janet Begay, proprietor of the Crossroads Hotel, a place where the paranormal stop for a safe night's rest, discovers the hard way that a slayer is targeting Ansel, a Nightwalker who's become a more-or-less permanent resident.
When Janet and her boyfriend Mick intervene to save Ansel's un-life, they find that the attack is the beginning of an oncoming storm. Janet has her hands full already with the upcoming marriage of her father, her crazy half-sister, the return of a woman who claims to be Coyote's wife, a couple dragons on her back, and her worry about Mick, who's behaving strangely again.
But it seems that everyone is after Ansel, who fears he killed the woman he loves in a Nightwalker frenzy. Janet must choose between protecting Ansel or facing the most powerful magical beings in the world, who are willing to destroy Janet, Mick, her hotel, and everyone she cares about to get to Ansel and his secrets.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Bodywalker Kamen sets out on a quest to unite the other Nightwalkers in the fight against Apep.Nightwalker is a worthy conclusion to this thought-provoking series.Kamen is an interesting hero. He is not trusted by many of the other Nightwalkers because he originally released Apep. I appreciated that he wants to prove his worth and do what is right. I like that he is intelligent and wants to make up for his mistakes.I like Geneviève. She is part Wraith and part human. Viève is assigned by the Wraith Magistrate to accompany Kamen on his journey. Being a half-breed she is unappreciated by the Wraiths. I like that Kamen valued her and that Viève seems to bring out a more human side to Kamen. They have an interesting chemistry, neither feeling worthy of the other. Apep is a fascinating villain. He is evil and selfish. He is clever and unpredictable. He is a challenging rival. It is understandable that the twelve Nightwalkers need to band together to fight him.Nightwalker is a well-written conclusion to the series. Jacquelyn Frank does a great job integrating events that happened in previous books. Complimentary copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This one was a little disappointing for me. I haven't read all the series I have to admit, but I had read the last book and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so I thought I couldn't miss with this one. But I found this story to be a little slow, it started off fine but did tend to drag a bit for me in the middle, and there where to many characters in the storyline for me to keep straight, I got a little confused. I also would have liked to have seen more action from the Nightwalkers, and seen them working together more in their quest to defeat Apep, they did a lot of talking and organizing for battle, but it was a bit of a let down in the end.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Interesting fantasy world bound to the beliefs of the people indigenous to SW desert areas of the USA. I am familiar with a little of this from reading Hillerman, but that did not limit my enjoyment of the book. The Nightwalker of the title is an unwilling vampire who has found an ancient dangerous magical pot, and has put himself, his girlfriend, and all of the area and more into serious danger. Janet Begay is the Stormwalker who is the main character in this book and in the series. Her significant other is a dragon when not in human form. There are plot twists and action aplenty to keep the reader mumbling "Just one more chapter, then I'll go....."Hillary Huber gives an excellent performance as Janet, and also gives voice and adds depth to each of the other characters.Lucky enough to have gotten it on the cheap.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I still really enjoying this series, but the books are going a bit downhill in quality. Such a bummer.
