About this audiobook
Description: When twenty-seven-year-old image consultant Poppy Ross discovers that her handsome and seemingly devoted husband Parker is having an affair, she is dumbfounded. Before she has chance to confront him, however, he is struck by lightning. When he regains consciousness, he has lost his short-term memory-including that of the affair. Given a chance to erase history and possibly save her marriage, Poppy decides to remake herself in the mistress"s image, so that Parker might never be tempted to stray again. Her quest to become his perfect woman has disastrous and hilarious results-and just might turn out to be the worst thing possible for their relationship. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another chick lit i'm giving 5 stars too! I absolutly fell in love with the concept of this book and it definitely didn't disappoint. Mid 20's Poppy Ross discovers that her handsome and what she thought devoted husband has been having an affair, but when lighting strikes, literally and hits her husband and his mistress. When her husband wakes up he has no recollection of the affair and Poppy struggles to decide whether to just let it slide and pretend it never happened or confront him. She ultimitely decides to pretend it never happens but Poppy decides maybe she's not what her husband wants and his mistress was so she trys to recreate herself in her image. This book is absolutely hilarious and heartbreaking from start to finish. I loved Poppy's character and found her antics and struggles to keep her husband satsified were down-right piss your pants funny, yes I said piss your pants. This story was like nothing else i've read before and its up there in my top 5 chick lit novels i've ever read!! Chantell Simmons is going somewhere in the Chick Lit genre and i'm jumping onboard. I can't wait for more novels from this author!
