About this audiobook
Shaking hands with upper-crusty James was like downing a triple shot of vodka. Dizzy with desire, confused by my body's reaction, and shocked by the possessiveness flashing in his eyes, I deceived him that night and told the world at their wedding reception.
The truth? I slept with my sister's fiancé. Hot and sweaty, all night long in a room so dark he couldn't tell I wasn't her. The lie? Said fiancé is the father of my child. The one I signed over my rights to just before he was born.
That was seven years ago. It's time to come clean.
Contains mature themes.

Elise reads, writes and revels in romance, and is never happier than when caught up in a heart-thumping, sweat-your-socks-off tale--hers or somebody else's. She loves creating stories about flawed characters, people for whom love isn't simply a question of boy-meets-girl, but a gut-wrenching journey of transformation. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Ok, so the summary of this book got me. I knew it was probably going to be a love/hate type deal but it was something different. Unfortunately, it didn't pan out well.So Paisley is a brat. Yes, her sister is evil, but she is still a brat so you still can't really root for her. And then she somehow sleeps with her sister's fiance, James, without him knowing it's her. (The same guy who has belittled her from the get go.) Then she find herself pregnant from it. I found myself not liking anyone in this book, period. Great idea (was thinking it may take a Emily Giffin Something Borrowed type turn), poor execution.I received this book in exchange for an honest review for Netgalley.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I wasn't sure about this book in the beginning. I struggled getting into it when the story was about Paisley's younger years. I did like the back story but I was totally confused on the pregnancy and this relationship (not really one) she had with James. Was really weird to ME for something like that to happen. Once the story got back to the present I started to really enjoy. I do not know how Paisley gave up her son all those years ago. I understand she needed to get herself together because she was a wreck and not good for her son. I feel in love with James. I loved how it showed him as a devoted and caring single father. I wasn't surprise with the ending. Not mad because I would not have wanted it any other way.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Wasn't really my cup of tea. The MC was annoying and while I understand wanting to be in her son's life, she was more worried about James wanting her than anything else.

But it turns out all those sex-ed teachers aren’t just trying to scare you. The faint positive on a budget pregnancy test sent me spinning, moments before meeting my sister’s snooty new fiancé.Shaking hands with upper-crusty James was like downing a triple shot of vodka. Dizzy with desire, confused by my body’s reaction, and shocked by the possessiveness flashing in his eyes, I deceived him that night and told the world at their wedding reception. The truth?I slept with my sister’s fiancé. The concept behind the plot on this had my mind spinning for days, and talking about it, and trying to figure out just how it could happen. Now, it wasn't till the end of the book that I truly got a sense for everything and say...ahhh...this make sense. In the meantime, as you're reading, you can't put it down...seriously, it's impossible. The drama, the attraction, the chemistry, and the hatred refuse to let up. The whole "can't turn away from an accident" truly applies to this book. That's what shocked me. While there were time I truly hated both the heroine and the hero, I still just HAD to know how it turned out, and yeah, despite that hatred, I was rooting for each of them the whole way. As a reader of modern romance, some may hate this, but I have no doubt others will absolutely love it. I totally recommend picking this up, sticking with it, and experiencing a complex, and very original new adult romance.
