This light-hearted chapter book is one in a series directed at boys. It has a simple storyline, shorter chapters, and a lot of entertaining and comical illustrations. The story is about George Brown and his adventures. In this particular book, George goes to a classmates birthday party at a water park. The problem is that George keeps having magical burps that get him into trouble. Children may enjoy following George in the days leading up to and through the birthday party as he worries about burping. This seems to be a good cross-walk chapter book for readers who are just getting into them. The story itself is entertaining, and it the illustrations will help struggling readers make sense of anything they may not understand.
