- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very good! A bit of taste of Thomas Aquinas.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent introduction to STA. The author explains Aquinas in as simple language as possible.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This books is a great accompaniment to reading Aquinas, which is why I listened to it. As these lectures proclaim, Aquinas is interesting and enlightening; but is also a difficult read.
Also if you want to become familiar with Aquinas without reading his works, I would recommend these lectures. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Thanks to this book and the narrator I have learned a lot about Christianity and its philosophical underpinnings. Will have to listen to it again in the future for sure. Blessings
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Brilliant. A really clear and concise break down of Aquinas' philosophy
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Philosophy and Common Sense The exposition of Thomas Aquinas's philosophy and the description of his systematic approach are two features of this enlightening course. The lectures are clear and the subjects are presented in an order that facilitates the understanding of Aquinas thought. Professor Peter Kreeft argues that Aquinas, when discussed philosophy's questions, often assumes the default position, the common sense answer. Because he had a deep understanding of his predecessors, he could articulate their thought pointing to what he considered their achievements and faults. In such a careful study, the extreme positions are often avoided. The course succeeds in presenting Aquinas thought and it relevance.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I found this very useful to gain an understanding of what Thomas Aquinas is about. It actually made me want to go out and read the Summa. I purchased this as an audiobook narrated by the author in university lecture style and found it very engaging.
