About this audiobook

Highland warrior Blane Sutherland has one mission: disguise himself as an Englishman, cross the border and retrieve Lady Aliah de Mowbray. Always up for a challenge, he agrees, pursuing his conquest with vigor-and trying to deny the powerful desire that eclipses him each time he touches his charge. A rogue of the highest order and a younger son, he has nothing to offer a lady but a broken heart.Aliah is skeptical of the English noble who has come to take her to her father and sister in Scotland, but she pushes her doubts aside. Without word in months, she must make certain her family is safe, then she can return to England to join the convent to which she has sworn to pledge her life. But then her escort reveals his true self-he's a Highlander and his kisses are more seductive than the sweetest of wines. Surrender never tasted so sweet . . .

The Highlander's Conquest (Stolen Bride #2) by Eliza Knight is a fantastic Medieval Scottish Romance set in England and Scotland. While, #2, it can be read as a stand alone. If you've not had a chance to read "The Highlander’s Reward", #1, I'd definitely suggest reading it as well, as this is the story of Blane Sutherland, younger brother to the Laird of Sutherland, who disguises himself as an Englishman to sale the Sutherland's wool in England. So when it became necessary to retrieve his brother's wife's younger sister, of course, Blane was the man to cross the border and retrieve her, bring her to Scotland to reunite with her sister and father, who had been wounded. Lady Aliah de Mowbray, is feisty, doesn't trust the barbarian Scots, beautiful, she’s been protected all her life, and plans to vow her life to the church, but when danger persists, she shows Blane she can handle a bow and arrow, just like her sister. Aliah and Blane are a wonderful couple, one who deserves their HEA, their pull toward each other kept me turning the pages, from the beginning to the end.I thoroughly enjoyed "The Higlander’s Conquest". Ms. Knight has done it again with her vivid details, her strong characters, and her engaging story. I strongly recommend "The Highlander’s Conquest". Not bad but not a great book either. Had a lot of fluff and story fillers that took away from the story itself
