About this audiobook
Madison Daniels has worshiped her brother's best friend since they were kids. Everyone thinks she and Chase Gamble would make the perfect couple, but there are two major flaws in their logic. 1) Chase has sworn off relationships of any kind and 2) after blurring the line between friends and lovers for one night four years ago, they can't stop bickering.
Forced together for her brother's wedding getaway, Chase and Madison decide to call a truce for the happy couple. Except all bets are off when they're forced to shack up in a tacky '70s honeymoon suite and survive a multitude of "accidents" as the family tries to prove their "spark" can be used for more than fighting. That is, if they don't strangle each other first...

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Nice story....I was hooked all the way to the end waiting for Chase to realize his feelings.
But I wish that the writer would have cleared up the misunderstanding after a happy ending. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was okay. I didn’t really like the narrator. The story line was okay.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love Love Love the story of #Chase & #Maddy....Any girls dream ❤️
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5No surprises there, quite literally. A book to listen to on the beach with an iced drink. Perfectly predictable plot, won’t keep you up all night, easy listen with Jennifer’s usual clichés. A safe choice for a holiday book.
It’s fairly short, which poses the question why there’s so much time wasting, and there’s a ton of miscommunication so one wonders what happened to mobile phones (or just waiting to react until a sentence is finished!). Feels like the 90s when we still wrote notes by hand and waited at phone booths for a call back. Nevertheless, a nice steamy little love story. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5l loved it. But you should have had him drop to a knee. That would have been perfect. Then have her say yes and then to her office admirers say I'm leaving... I'll see you tomorrow... but I have to take care of this.. pointing her finger to him then back to her a few times. again.. I'll see you tomorrow as she grabs her purse and they walk out the door with everyone clapping..
The End... Finished! - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book was riveting! The only thing I disliked was the extended suspense through chapters 10-12. I wanted to get past all of the inner thoughts and read more interactions between the characters. I almost lost interest in seeing how it ended because the ending was drawn out a little long.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I have never read anything by J. Lynn, also under her real name Jennifer L. Armentrout, so this was my first time. I haven't got many expectations about this story and I have to admit that I generally prefer longer books with fully developed storyline. However, this one was slightly above my expectations.
The characters are definitely likeable and, what is important in novellas, they doesn't seem undeveloped. I can easy imagine Chase having some problems with himself with his parents being who they are. I also liked Maddie who is in love with him since she was a kid but is trying to come over it. To be honest the names of the Gamble brothers produced some confusion in the beginning since I found it difficult to distinguish Chad from Chase but I get used to it.
Generally, the plot was okay. I liked the feelings and tension between Maddie and Chase. But the situation between them in the end... well, that one I found ridiculous! I skipped most of the drama in the end. I hate when couples in the books split over some minor misunderstanding they could make straight if they stop for a minute and talk to each other instead of assuming they know what the other person was thinking about. And this one was all about it.
So, to sum up, I generally liked the story except the drama in the end. Giving it three stars but a weak ones. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Meh. I had almost given up on the book around the middle of it. Love the whole best friends little sis thing...but I was hoping it was a bit more steamy. anyways, by the time it kind of perked up with a little angst to get me going, the book was practically over.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Cute story of two people getting in their own way of happiness. A few lines/themes were redundant but I enjoyed listening.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Died and went straight to heaven. I loved it, so sue me if you think I'm wrong. :)

It made me smile in the first half of the story, but then all the misunderstanding and crossed signals kind of got on my nerves.
In terms of character development, Chase's were a bit too fast. One second he's sure he'll fuck everything up like his father did, the next he's reciting the words everyone's been telling him for so long - that's he's not that kind of man, that he doesn't have that in him...
Well, I did like this, it's just that half way through I got annoyed with the story and considered skipping parts. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/52.5 stars
This was a cute, light read, if a tad irritating at times. It was predictable in that it had just about every romance cliche you could think of thrown into it. It also had a healthy dose of completely avoidable miscommunications. The hero was rich and sexy and hot, but she sort of lost me with the heroine. I like my heroines with a dash of sass and a whole shitton of backbone, and this girl didn't have much of either.
If you're looking for something to pass the time and not expecting anything to knock your socks off, this isn't a bad way to spend a couple hours. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5i love chase. i'd sleep with him if i can but unfortunatly he's fictional. all the good ones are

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5By: J.LynnPublished By: Entangled Publishing: IndulgenceAge Recommended: AdultReviewer: Arlena DeanRating: 4Blog For: GMTAReview:"Tempting the Best Man" by J. Lynn was a nice romance novel that was somewhat predicable, however it still was a pleasant delightful read. This novel was definitely one of those novels that you would call hot, sexy and good fun read. In this novel we find that Madison(Maddie) has had a crush on this Chase guy since childhood. Chase was Maddie's brothers best friend and also the best man in upcoming wedding. Chase had always believed that Maddie was too good for him so...he had her place off limits...since she was the sister of his very best friend. As the wedding is getting ready to take place Chase and Mattie finds themselves living together due to a big mistake that had been made. But this a mistake? Now this will be the time that I say that you must simply pick up "Tempting the Best Man" to see how this all will turn out for these two people. The two main people in this novel were somewhat frustrating to me at times in that they seemed to make a lot of stupid mistakes... mainly in not being able to communicate their real feelings with each other... Oh, well..I did find a lot of humor in a lot of this novel. The drama presented were very good... that kept me on the edge of my seat... just wondering where this author was taking me next ....and in the end be prepared for a good read with all of the characters being very interesting read that will only leave you wanting more. I did enjoy some of the quotes in "Tempting the Best Man"....here is one....“God, there needed to be an anti-sex pill or something for when she was around him.”If you are in for a good romance then "Tempting the Best Man" will be a good short quick read for you that I would recommend.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5OMG with a capital G, this book was AWESOME!!!! I am a big fan of Jennifer Armentrout, so when I saw this book published under her pen name J. Lynn, which she uses for her adult series, I HAD to have it. I usually stick to YA books, but if you've read anything by Jennifer, you know everything she writes is absolutely awesome. Needless to say, I was blown away. I don't want to give to much away, but as you can see from the description, this is a contemporary romance centered around Madison and Chase, who have known each other all their lives, while at Madison's brother's wedding. Madison's brother also happens to be Chase's best friend. After avoiding their feelings for each other for years, they are forced to come face to face with them over the course of the wedding festivities and a mix-up in the room reservations. This story is fun, entertaining, fast paced, and hot, Hot, HOT!!!! Chase is one of those guys you would classify as sex on a stick, which Jennifer is so good at writing about, and the chemistry between Chase and Madison is absolutley off the charts. Though a YA fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this "grown-up" story and would highly recommend it. True to form, J. Lynn (Jennifer Armentrout) will leave you amazed (and fanning your face a bit) with her writing.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This here would be J. Lynn's debut adult contemporary and what a debut it is. I’ve said it a million times… This girl is talented! What a sweet, funny, romantic read. I sat down and read it until I was finished...Literally. I totally fell in love with every character in the book, maybe not the one bridesmaid, but pretty much everyone that mattered. I loved loved loved Madison and Chase. Madison was so damn funny and Chase was such a beautiful misunderstood man. I enjoyed being a part of their journey. This book had me thinking about My Best Friend’s Wedding and The Wedding Date. The book is nothing like these movies other than the feel good feelings it left me with once I was done reading. One thing I must say is that this author bleeds a bit of herself into the heroines she writes. I don’t know her in “real life” but based on the video chats and tweets, I feel like her personality shines through these characters making them likable and relatable. This, coupled with her amazing ability to weave a story, is why she is one of my favorite authors and this is why I will buy anything she writes. Congrats on your first adult contemporary! I can’t wait to read all the trillion books you have coming out this year!

It wasn’t a long read, but it was so worth every moment! The flow of the story was amazing and switching from scene to scene was flawless. Ms. Lynn captured both sides of the story and managed to do it with such class while still maintaining a very sexual chemistry that couldn’t be ignored. Her scenes capture the surroundings and the feelings of each character with such grace that it left me stunned and made me yearn to learn more.I would whole heartily recommend this book to ANYONE just simply because it is a great read. Five out of five stars!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Tempting the Best Man hilarious and lovable from the very start. Madison is just your typical good girl, and her life long crush just happened to be her brother's best friend. J. Lynn offers this just in such a straight and no bull manner that it is easy to understand and connect with the characters emotions. With Madison harbor these feelings her entirely life, but having experienced Chase's rejection before it is easy to comprehend such uncertainty an confusion about his actions and declarations. This emotional roller coaster is definitely a short ride, and I tore through the pages so fast I was done in several hours. This appears to be a stand alone novel, as it was perfectly cut with its attention grabbing start, intense roller coaster romance, and happily ever after conclusion. This author is one of my favorites. For those that do not know this is another pen name for Jennifer Armentrout. I became a fan with the beloved Lux and Covenant series. Just what will she come up with next? Jump on the ride this is a BOOKWHISPERER RECOMMENDED READ!
