I'm not sure you can find a more annoying heroine than Dahlia or a more lifeless hero than Nicolas. Except maybe other characters in the GhostWalker series. Every other page was a long drawn-out scene that I guess was meant to be sensual but had me rolling my eyes instead.

This was another great read by Feehan. It has all the ingredients for a romance to thrive in its glory! The action, the emotional depth, the character's development, the passion, and sexual tension! I particularly like the Hero...very selfless and devoted man who worshiped the heroine and "most importantly, he was not a manwhore" I really appreciate the fact he was paired with the inexperienced heroine, that made them equal on that level! I did not have to read any of his sexual past and I sensed he was very reserved in that regard which worked for me perfectly...that is not to say, he was a beta hero! No, he was a very sexy alpha male that knew what he wanted from the start and was not ashamed to admit it! I had a bit of struggle with the heroine at the beginning when she would reject his advances due to fear of hurting him, but I would prefer if she was more into him and more willing to risk being with him! It got better, as I went further and I fully supported them as a couple! I wish more heroes like Nicolas would be present in romance books! This hero fully deserves this title! he is a caring, considerate man that put the heroine's needs above his and is a stable pillar for the heroine as much emotionally as physically..because sex is not everything in a relationship..but deeper foundations that he thoroughly represented here!

I am not a fan of this installment in the series. The female main character was the stupidest, whiniest, most annoying person ever. The amount of times I wished she'd just set herself on fire were endless. That way she would leave the male main character free to find someone actually worthy of him. I might still continue the series in the hope we have another cool female MC as we did in the first book.

Not too long ago I realized I’d missed one of the books in Christine’s Game series–the Mind Game. And then forgot to post my review as well! Goofy cause I totally loved everything about this series and this book! Once I started I couldn’t put it down. There really were so many instances in this book in particular where how I’d expected things to go, didn’t happen. That is so much fun! If you haven’t read these books I highly recommend it!

Christine Feehan's Mind Game is book 2 in the GhostWalkers series. In book 1, Shadow Game, we were introduced to the GhostWalkers, a group of men with advanced military backgrounds and scientifically enhanced psychic skills. Mind Game focuses on GhostWalker Nicholas Trevane, and his mission to find and recover Dahlia Le Blanc, a government operative with astonishing telekinetic talents. Dahlia is one of a group of young girls bought from foreign countries by Dr. Peter Whitney. As a result of her amazing natural psychic abilities, her childhood is stolen from her by Dr. Whitney, who only wants to experiment on the girls and enhance their psychic capabilities. When the girls are no longer useful to him, Whitney basically abandons them, sending them out into the world without the necessary psychic barriers to protect them from sensory overload. Now that her father is gone, Lily Whitney has made it her mission to help all the GhostWalkers, and to find the other girls - now grown women - that she grew up with, and help them in any way she can. GhostWalker Nicholas Trevane takes the mission, and goes out to the Louisiana bayou to find Dahlia and bring her back. As he reaches Dahlia's secluded residence, Nico realizes something is terribly wrong. A traitor among the ranks of the NCIS has hired mercenaries to kill Dahlia, and Nicholas must make her safe. Mind Game is swift-moving and electrifying read. The storyline was gripping - I could not put it down. Feehan has a way with words that keeps you interested in the story. Mind Game has plenty of action and suspense - the story simply grabs hold of you and doesn't let you go. I really enjoyed the banter between the two main characters. It was very believable and extremely entertaining - even laugh-out-loud funny at times. I love the way Feehan brings all the other characters from the GhostWalkers series together. I can't wait to read some of the next stories! The twists and turns in this intriguing series will definitely keep me reading.

It was ok. I've figured out her formula, so I don't need to read anymore of her books. To me its the same story as the first book, only the names are different. Her basic premise is fine, the paranormal activities, the spy drama, action and really hot sex scenes at good. But there's not much else to hold me to the series, so I'll stop here.

Fun read. Another of the girls Dahlia Le Blanc returns from a mission to find that her refuge has been invaded, the people living there dead, except Jesse, who has been captured because they want to get Dahlia. Nicolas Trevane comes to help her escape but can she really trust him or his motivation or what she feels for him.

I usually enjoy the "Game" books, but this one just didn't really do it for me. Certainly my least favorite in the series. It's good to get backstory for others in the series, but not a must read in my opinion.

I think this is a more emotional book than the first. Don't get me wrong they are both emotional but there isn't as much world building in this story so Ms. Feehan was able to devote more to the connection between Dahlia and Nicolas. She also introduce a second group of military men that have been experimented on by Peter Whitney. This is the story where I fell for Ken and Jack Norton and Jessie Calhoun. There is a lot of action throughout this story. Plus all the information on Dahlia and what she has been through since Peter Whitney gave up on her and left her to her on devices. I also think that this is the start of the Ghostwalkers finding out how obsessed Peter Whitney is with this research. I love how Ms. Feehan builds a subplot into her stories always adding a little information into each story.

Its always such a pleasure to read from Christine Feehan, of course this is my second time reading this series. I read the first in the series "Shadow Game" and now I have just finished reading "Mind Game" and what a wild crazy ride that turned out to be. Nicolas Trevane has volunteered to go and find Dahlia Le Blanc, who Lily has found. Lily has been searching for all the young girls that her father changed and tormented and then sent out into the world alone. She thinks she has finally found Dahlia who is very powerful in a psychic way. Dahlia has had to live in isolation most of her life, because she has no anchor for all the emotions that bombarde her mind; especially anger which can send her into seizures if she isn't careful. Dahlia also goes on missions for NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigation ) She has just returned when she finds that those that raised her are dead, and one of her few friends Jesse Calhoun is being tortured for information to find her. Dahlia remains hidden, but stricken at the sight. Then she meets Nicolas who saves and conceals her from the enemy. Dahlia has no idea how to react around this strong capable yet psychic man. Dahlia is afraid that he will get hurt because of her. Since it has happened to her whenever she has gotten close to someone. Together they join forces, for they are on the run from people who are hunting Dahlia to destroy her and her only protection is Nicolas, who is highly trained and a professional. But beneath that exterior that they have built between them a explosive passion builds between them, one they can't explain and have never experienced. In the midst of it all, both Nicolas and Dahlia find relief in one another's arms. But there is still a mission to be carried out and with the help of the Ghostwalkers, Dahlia and Nicolas just might succeed if they work together as a unit.Ever since I read the first novel from Christine Feehan, I fell in love with her writing and capabilities to protray stories that evoke such raw emotions as she does in "Mind Game". A couple weeks ago I just had the urge to re-read the Ghostwalker Series all over again, especially since I love this series. I absolutely adored Dahlia, she has such a inner strength and fortitude. She is contantly feeling pain under the stress of all the emotional energy that attacks her constantly. Its rare for her to find relief apart from when she sleeps. But when she meets Nicolas and the other Ghostwalkers, she finds for the first time in her life relief from all the energy and a way to learn to focus it. A task that has never been accomplished. Nicolas, is the perfect Alpha Male, arrogant, strong, capable, and loves to be in command and in control. Of course he has met his match with Dahlia, who also has to be in control. They go head to head a few times in the book, which was very satisfyingly enjoyable!!! I loved the way that the characters interacted, the bantering, the passions that ignite, and a thrilling supsenseful plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat and aching for more. I had no problems with reading "Mind Game" Its definitely one of those that I can re-read over and over, and one you will never be disappointed in reading.

This is not the first Feehan paranormal series that I have read, however I enjoy the depth of plotline found within. I almost did not finish the first book, Shadow Game and almost gave up on the series. I had a problem getting behind the female lead of Lily Whitney, not really liking her and had no buy-in her happiness. However, when I read the back cover of Mind Game, I found the plotline interesting and Nicolas had always been my favorite in book 1.

Nicolas Trevane is the epitome of my image of the Alpha male warrior. He is quiet and has all appearance of being cold-blooded, but inside he is deeply passionate and faithful to his men and duty.

He is lethal in everything that he does, but he does not take life lightly. Both of his grandparents, the Lakota shaman and the Japanese warrior, equally spiritual in their own cultures have raised him with a respect for life. This respect for life and Zen reflection is something Nico inherits.

Normally, I have problems with how one-dimensional the male Alpha lead is in a Feehan book. However, in this case, Nicholas is not your typical sniper, but has a rich background and spiritual philosophy that colors his actions. However, I did find Dahlia rather flat, a typical “female in peril”. I got a little tired of her whining about how dangerous their relationship would be and she could never be “normal”.

Overall, I loved this book and it is one of my favorites in the series. I recommend this book for any reader who loves paranormal romance with well-choreographed fight scenes and hot romance action.

I wanted to like this series, I really did after reading her Dark series and getting sucked in. I just could not bring myself to do it, for some reason the world was not believable and just could not get into the books.
