About this audiobook

Believed dead by his Pack mates, Micah Chase, a wolf shifter and Dreamwalker, was held captive for months, subject to tortures that left him physically scarred and emotionally unsettled.

Now under the care of the Alpha Pack's doctors, he's been prescribed an experimental healing drug, but he still can't shake the nightmares. Even more damning is that Micah's problems pose a danger to his team, and if he doesn't get himself under control, they'll all suffer a terrible fate.

There is a key to his salvation. Jacee is a beautiful coyote shifter, and though her kind is hated, she's falling in love with a man whose very future is in her hands. Together they'll face his personal demons as well as a deadly enemy-and for both of them desire has never come with such risk.

I love this series. Gritty but not too gritty, keeps your interest.

Read for Fun/Listened for Review (Gift/Tantor)Overall Rating: 3.50Story Rating: 3.25Character Rating: 3.75Audio Rating: 4.00 (not part of the overall rating)First Thought when Finished: Chase the Darkness by J.D. Tyler wasn't my favorite in the series but it was still great hanging out with Pack!Overall Thoughts: I am going to do this in list form...Things that drove me nuts...1: I am not a fan of the Nix/Noah relationship (which used this book as a buildup to their novella). I would be pissed off if an author took a gay man and "mated' him to a women then expected him to be ok/change who he was because of it. So I have a huge problem with taking a straight man and mating him to a gay man. It mostly has to do with my belief that it isn't a choice--you are who you are. So this really bugs me and yes I will be skipping the novella.2: The obvious "oh I thought I told you I was a dream walker" thanks for the not making a big deal out of it. Seriously? I jumped into your dream, had sex with you, and didn't tell you it was real until later didn't bug you at all?3: I just expected more from Chase's story.4: Holy abrupt ending! Things I still love...1: The Pack! I love getting to touch base and getting more information about the world.2: The Action! J.D. Tyler is excellent at action and twists/turns.3: Introduction of new characters. I can't wait to see them in further books.Audio Thoughts:Narrated By Marguerite Gavin / Length: 7 hrs and 35 minsThis is one of those series that switched narrators on book 6 but both are really good. Yes there is some getting used to the differences in some of my favorite characters but I like Marguerite's version. Then again I took some time off between the change as I got behind on the series.
