About this audiobook

June Hudson is the town's doctor, a caring, capable woman who now has a bit of explaining to do. People are beginning to notice the bloom in her cheeks-and the swell of her belly. Happily, DEA agent Jim Post is back in June's arms for good, newly retired from undercover work and ready for new beginnings here in Grace Valley. Expecting the unexpected is a way of life in Grace Valley, and the community is overflowing with gossip right now. Who is the secret paramour June's aunt Myrna is hiding? Does the town's poker-playing pastor have too many aces up his sleeve? But when dangers, from man and nature, rise up with a vengeance to threaten June and the town, this community pulls together and shows what it's made of. And Jim discovers the true meaning of happiness here in Grace Valley: there really is no place like home.

I thought this book started slow compared to her other books. I really like how the town of Grace Valley came together in love when each other was having a tough time. It had a great ending.

My absolute favorite of hers! I love how you hear are the whole town throughout this series.

June Hudson, Grace Valley's doctor finds herself pregnant, but mystery man Jim is all for it. June however takes her time adjusting. A lovely collection of eccentric residents inhabit this small town.

Really good book with multiple plots, exciting action and heartfelt emotions. Main story was about pregnant Dr June and retired DEA agent Jim. Romance may have taken a back seat to all the action but Jim was steadfast in his love.

3.75 out of 4Although this book ties up the June/Jim story, it wasn't so much a romance as much as a book about a small town. I enjoyed getting to know everyone a little bit better, but am eager to move on to the Virgin River series, which I think ties into this.

A revisit with characters from the first two books in the trilogy. Not as well written as the first two books.

This one is VERY light – the conflict is boring. I simply couldn't rouse myself into caring about the main character, June. Her love interest was very enticing - just had a problem understanding why he cared about *her*...
