Firstly, Teresa is Jase’s best friend’s little sister – and Jase has a pretty good idea of how Cam will feel about anyone messing her around.

Secondly, Teresa’s dreams of being a dancer have just been put on hold – maybe permanently. The last thing she needs is a player like Jase distracting her when she needs to find direction.

I have a serious girl crush on J. Lynn right now.

Honestly... Wait for You & Be with Me are two of my all time favorite reads. They gave me book hangovers and are sticking with me days later.

Be with Me is about Cam's sister Theresa and his best friend, Jase. They have experienced an instant romantic connection and while feelings grow... secrets are exposed. As they try to keep their relationship on the down low, suspense surrounds them.

This book brought so much emotion to the table. I felt for Theresa and Jase through the entire book and became consumed by each chapter. I loved the cupcakes! Each time they got together I waited to see what kind it was. I also loved the intimate parts. Each one was special because they weren't happening a million times throughout the book.

I highly recommend this book to everyone!
It is a great read with lots of depth.

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie TalesQuick & Dirty: Sexy new adult book that is full of hope, heartache, and tough decisions. Another fantastic book by J. Lynn and it is sure to please all of her fans.Opening Sentence: Sweet tea was apparently going to be the death of me.The Review: Life for Teresa Hamilton hasn’t been exactly as planned. Her whole life she has planned on being a professional dancer but a bad fall a few months back tore her ACL and now it looks as if regular college is her future for the moment. She also happens to be madly in love with her big brothers best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a mind blowing kiss last year. Now she will be going to the same school as him, and she is hoping that their friendship can blossom into something more.Jase Winstead is your classic gorgeous frat boy that likes to have fun, but he also has a past full of secrets and heartache. He doesn’t do relationships because there are other priorities in his life that will always come first, but the more time he spends around Teresa the more he is tempted to let her in. She is beautiful and he can’t stop thinking about the way it felt to kiss her. She stirs up feelings inside him that he hasn’t felt in a really long time and it scares him to death.I adored Teresa, she is witty and smart, but also very vulnerable. It’s no secret that she had a rough and abusive relationship in high school. While it did leave its mark, it has also made her a stronger person. She’s not shy when it comes to speaking up for herself, and she tries to help others by sharing her experiences. I think that she is someone you can look up to and admire because she has succeeded in turning her past into a learning experience vs. letting it destroy her. She is always full of optimism and she tries to see the best in every situation, but she’s not naïve about things either. I really felt connected with Teresa and I loved reading her story.Jase is a very sexy man that gives me goose bumps thinking about him. He is such a great well rounded guy. Not only is he HOT, he is also sweet, respectful, and very thoughtful. He is always putting others before himself, which is why he feels that a relationship with anyone would be a distraction. I instantly fell for Jase and think he is a very swoon worthy man. Lynn actually stated that Jase is her favorite book boy she has ever written, which is saying something because she has created some admiring male specimens.Be with Me is a phenomenal new adult book that really pulls at your heart strings. It covers some very serious subjects with the respect and emotional care that they deserve. The characters are developed perfectly and you get an instant connection with them that endures through the whole book. The romance is steamy and full of tender vulnerable moments between Teresa and Jase. You also get to see more of Cam and Avery, so fans of the first book will be very pleased. I personally liked this story even better than its predecessor, and it can be a stand alone as well. You get to meet the characters from book three, and I am very eager to get my hands on their story. I have loved everything that Lynn has written and Be with Me was no exception. If you are a fan of sexy new adult romance novels, you should give this series a try.Notable Scene:My heart stumbled. Was he flirting with me? I swallowed. “Like what kind of things?”He didn’t answer then, so I forced myself to focus on the lecture. I could feel Calla staring at me. She had no idea how I knew Jase and probably thought I was one of the girls who had many, many good things to say about him.I wanted to say his comment was made out of arrogance and nothing else, but knowing how damn well he kissed, I was sure he was just as skilled at everything else. The girls were probably boasting about his prowess Internet message boards.Jase shifted in the seat, and I stiffened as I felt his breath on my neck, just below my ear, teasing that sensitive spot that made me want to wiggle around–the same spot he’d nipped, licked, and then kissed. In a low whisper, he said, “I think you know exactly what kind of things they’d say good things about.”FTC Advisory: William Morrow Paperbacks/HarperCollins provided me with a copy of Be with Me. No goody bags, sponsorships, “material connections,” or bribes were exchanged for my review.

I loved book one, so I immediately jumped into Be With Me. I was hoping I would love it as much as the first, and I think I loved this one even more. This one was a little bit darker than the first one. Both deal with really serious issues, but this one really got scary. My heart was pounding with anticipation for what would happen towards the end. Was it a little predictable? Yes! Did it take away from the suspense? Not really! This one is a little more steamy than the first, so be prepared for that going in. The second book follows Tess, the sister of Cam. Cam and Avery are still involved within this story though, so if you love them there is a little bit of their story also thrown in. I loved Jase just as much as I loved Cam! What a great guy and his storyline had my jaw drop as I did not see that coming! This story does deal with several triggering topics including domestic violence and suicide.Another five stars, but I would not expect anything less from Jennifer L. Armentrout when it comes to her romance. On to the next!!

Am I over my NA era?

No, and JLA will always have my 18-year-old heart when it comes to this genre.

Tess and Jase have a previous alteration that starts their story and Jase tries to pretend he was too drunk to remember. But as time goes on it all comes to the surface and their feelings are both declared for each other. This is a slow burn, best friend's sister romance with a slight single-parent element. I would have loved to have seen how the secret played in 5 or 10 years' time because I wanted to imagine what their little trio looked like.

I loved how Jase became protective of Tess, especially during her difficult time with her roommate. That scene was very surprising and it was not something I was expecting. It was very dark and I would recommend reading TW because there is some heavy stuff. However, during the scene, it brought forth some very unexpected friendships and characters that have become very intriguing to me.

I received this free eARC from Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review. OMG!!!!! I got this 3 months early!!! Eekk!! I'm so glad that I was able to read this in advance and I loved every second of Tess and Jase's story!I have gotten a lot of great books from Edelweiss, but because Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my favorite authors, this was a gem that I could not wait to pick up when it was sent to my kindle! At first I had hesitations about this book because it wasn't about Cam and Avery, but I think I might like Tess and Jase more than the other characters! This book focused a lot on the present and future than the past. Yes, we know that Tess had a bad relationship with her last boyfriend and we find out more about Jase's past, but this had a lot more points about their present relationship and what their futures are going to be, or not be. Also, this book had a lot of bombs that were dropped. It kept me on my toes and had me racing to the end for more information. The only thing I wish it had more of was Jack. I loved Jack and wanted more scenes with Tess, Jase and Jack together. By the way? I most definitely figured out Jase's big secret involving that little man way before it was dropped. I am very grateful to have gotten this novel ahead of time and I read this novel in one sitting. The only bad part is waiting for more novels by JLA to come out now! Thank you for allowing me access to this novel early!

Teresa Hamilton has only ever surmounted to one thing in her life: dancing. A recent knee injury risks not only her dance scholarship, but also the only passion she's ever known, the only future she's ever planned. But Tess, whom we first were introduced to as Cam Hamilton's resilient little sister in J. Lynn's Wait for You, is a big girl, which means she's going to do what she's always done: pick up the pieces of her life and carry on. This doesn't only mean, college; it also means taking the leap of faith by being honest with her feelings for Jase, who swears the two of them would never work. The problem isn't that Jase is her brother's best friend—after all, it's Tess Jase is afraid of, not Cam; it's that Jase, despite his clear attraction to her, is unwilling to drag her down into anything serious. He has a dark past that never surfaces in his cool, calm nature, but Tess can just tell he has a story to tell, but reluctantly won't. And she'll be damned if he keeps leading her on, but avoiding confrontation. When an impending problem, outside of Tess's control and radar, grows bigger and eventually implodes in a devastating turn of events, Tess learns that the things holding her back—pride, schoolwork, fear of rejection, fear of never dancing again—are the last things in the world that she should be worrying about, and that Jase, regardless of his quiet torment, is a good man who just needs to sort himself out.The physicality of Tess and Jase's relationship is scorching hot, and their explosive encounters are interspersed with frustrating periods where Jase completely cuts off contact, or attempts to collect himself. His suave exterior shatters to pieces in her presence, but he can't afford to fall for her because he has too much baggage, too much going on in his life that she wouldn't understand. I absolutely hated how bipolar Jase was with his mixed signals; it really made me feel bad for Teresa. She is a bit of an emotional and hypersensitive character, but I totally understand why: Jase is infuriating! Teresa had every right to be naggy and needy when Jase treated her that way.I still fell in love with Jase, though, which is a complex feeling in itself. He's such a well-developed character, who isn't composed solely of a few cardinal personality traits like Cam was in Wait for You; he actually has depth to him, intrigue. He's a stoic hero—the charmingly self-possessed mature type—who's only uncharacteristically affectionate with Tess. I actually liked him much better than Cam; he's less two-dimensional and has more to him than just good looks.Tess is much more likable than Avery too, although in this book's perspective, Avery is viewed as the gorgeous, altruistic good girl—the one who was able to tame Cam. It's not that I don't like this slant on her, but I just wish it would have been better portrayed in Wait for You. At times, Tess is annoyingly naïve, but that has a lot to do with her young age and inexperience, as well as the tough times she's been through, namely her abusive boyfriend from high school. I love how this pivot point of Wait for You is explored much more in Be With Me. The recurring characters, including Cam, Avery, Brittany, plus a few new likable secondary characters, were a pleasant surprise, as well. The quality of the writing and the procession of the story are both noticeably better and much more compelling in Be With Me than in Wait for You, a tribute to the fact that this book was written under a Harper Collins contract (whereas the first book was initially self-published, then picked up to be reprinted due to its popularity). I'm not saying Armentrout couldn't have written this alone (obviously, she started out self-publishing and was wildly successful with that), but a good editor really does make a difference. There still are some unbelievable cheesy moments in this book, but not as much as in Wait for You, so overall I enjoyed it much more. Not as many clichés and "coincidences", that's for sure; Be With Me actually had good plot elements, a level of unpredictability and uncertainty, and characters that I actually loved getting to know.Pros: Liked this sequel much better than the first book // Teresa is a humble, relatable, cute character—love her personality! // Jase will make your knees go weak // Chemistry is super hot! // Tess and Jase are a perfect couple // The roadblock of emotional unavailability is really well portrayed // Quirky, upbeat tone of voice that I love // Deals with grave issues maturelyCons: Relationship seems very cheesy and a bit abrupt at times // Jase's mixed signals made me want to slap him in the face! // Story is great, but writing style is a bit amateur... however, it's still a huge improvement from Wait for YouVerdict: "It's complicated." In an emotionally turbulent and heart-wrenching sequel to the ever-popular Wait for You, Teresa and Jase muster up the mutual courage to love, and learn to find a home in each other along the way. Fans of the first book will go wild with Jase, the seemingly smooth-sailing, unreservedly charming new bad boy on the block—one with distress seared into his soul, but wouldn't ever dare to show it—except to the one girl who brings him to his knees. J. Lynn brings us a novel about baggage, the uncertainty of the future, and the inescapability of the past, that I personally liked much better than the first book in the series. Be With Me is a captivating sequel about strength, resilience, and belonging to and giving yourself to someone wholly.Rating: 8 out of 10 hearts (4 stars): An engaging read that will be worth your while; highly recommended.Source: Complimentary copy provided by publisher via tour publicist in exchange for an honest and unbiased review (thank you, Harper Collins and TLC!).

This book focused on the relationship between Cam's sister Theresa and his best friend Jase. It was a good story. Each of them had issues from the past they had to work through. There was also some suspense and mystery involving Theresa's roommate. Although I liked the storyline, I didn't really feel emotionally attached to the characters. But I was certainly never bored!

Oh, how I love Jennifer/J. Lynn. She makes me smile and swoon and I love everything she's written that I've read. So of course, when I saw Be With Me available to request, I didn't hesitate because I knew I would love it. My JLA sensor wasn't wrong either, I fell in love with Tess right away. Her and Jase had a history and now they are in the awkward after phase, Jace afraid of what he feels and of Cam, because after all, Teresa is his little sister. Who is not so little anymore. She is beautiful, and right in front of him. I admired her strength and resolution to heal and not to let him jerk her around. I connected with her because of her emotions, and I related with her because I too have been in a rough relationship like she was with Jeremy. And it forever messes with how you see the world. But I loved her strength to heal and move forward with her life. I love the sibling relationship between her and Cam. Teasing, protective, but still banter which makes it realistic. I love the bond and the shared history, the love they feel for each other and how much they want the other to be happy and have the best, even if Cam's idea of happy doesn't include Jase because even though Jase is his best friend, he knows he has baggage, and he can't stop viewing Teresa as his little sister, who needs protecting, and is well, little. I loved every second of the chemistry, passion and tension between Tess and Jase, and how they keep coming face to face, even when Jase is trying to hide. He is a tad arrogant, but funny, caring, compassionate, and his obvious soft spot for Tessa and his history with Cam makes me crazy about him. Oh and his hot body and tats don't hurt. Be With Me had its fair share of surprises and plot twists, and always kept me on my toes. Some things worked out how I wanted, some did not, other things happened that I expected or guessed, and then others smacked me upside the head with wow, did that just happen. There are a lot of issues here that were deep, but I think that Jennifer did a great job taking her time with them and showing that be it abuse, or be it bad or uninformed decisions, they all have consequences and it takes time to deal with them properly, and some things will be on your mind, heart or deal with for the rest of your life. I love how Jase told Tessa that sometimes bad things can turn out for the good, and that the unexpected can completely change your life. That is the message of this one, and we see Tess and Jase dealing with this throughout the whole book. It is how you respond, react, and what you decide to do with life when it dumps everything on your face and knocks you on your ass. So the last few paragraphs makes Be With Me sound really deep. And it is. But never fear, there is still the snark, humor and steam that we've come to expect from Jennifer. And the steam is ramped up writing as J. Lynn, and there were times when I blushed but my toes wanted to curl. Yeah. So. This is amazing, and I would love to see more from this circle of friends. I could see Ollie, Britt, Calla all having their own stories, and of course, I wouldn't mind being back in Tess' story to find out exactly what happens although J. gives us a good picture and a satisfying ending. Bottom Line: Hot, funny and deep companion novel from one of my fave authors.

As a fan of the characters in the Wait for You series, I was eager to read Be with Me. As expected, J. Lynn did not disappoint!! Tess and Jase have so much chemistry, and I love the way they love each other. It was also cool to see the cupcakes and the reference to a fellow book lover. Even though Jase and Tess have their issues and baggage from the past, both know that what they have is special. I cannot wait for more in this series.

SummaryAfter a mind blowing kiss, Teresa Hamilton realized her true feelings for her brothers best friend Jase Winstead. But this past year, he has practically ignored her. But Teresa can't forget the power of that one kiss or the desire they feel for each other currently even though Jase is in denial. But when she learns the truth of Jase and his past, her love accepts him for who he is and everything that comes with him. But right when their relationship is going strong, Jase's fears and other complications may prevent them from holding onto the love they feel for each other.Plot and Story LineBe With Me is the second novel of this wonderful series and I was thrilled to finally get a copy of Teresa and Jase's story. After reading all the other books so far, I have been waiting for this loan to become available from my library. I just adored these two together. It was interesting to see them finally accept what they feel for each other. From the first book, we sense the chemistry between them. Then in later books we see the type of connection they have together. So I was so interested in reading their story. I truly loved how they were together. It starts off with Teresa traveling with her brother to visit Jase's farm. At first, Teresa isn't super impressed with it hehe But she quickly falls in love with it, his parents and most especially his younger brother. What I loved seeing at this point, is the relationship between brothers. I almost wanted to cry in this scene, because it was so charming and its obvious how close these two are (and later in the book some truths are revealed to show the deeper reason behind it). But man Jase is in some serious denial at this point in the book. He thinks they can just go back to being platonic friends, even though he knows that they have powerful chemistry and you can't just sweep it under the rug. Teresa is pretty firm on her feelings for him and they get into quite an argument. Then we see Jase when he gets drunk and boy was he funny and honest too. Slowly these two start to rekindle their friendship, and Teresa is firm with Jase about her true feelings and can't just be his friend without more. Teresa was a fabulous character, and I admired her in many ways. She is strong willed, stubborn and isn't ashamed of what she feels for Jase. Jase on the other hand, took more time for me to fall in love with him. I never truly understood why he was so against a relationship with Teresa. Yes we have the whole forbidden love thing with Jase being Teresa's brothers best friend however it wasn't the real reason behind it. Eventually Jase does come to terms with what they have, but man I really had to be in a forgiving nature toward the end there because I wanted to strangle him in how he treats Teresa there. But he eventually comes to his senses and embraces what they have together. There are other aspects to the story that really built up to the climax and it was so well written. I did feel a bit dissatisfied about the end though, I felt like not all of it was tied up as I would have liked especially where it concerns Jase's brother. I would have liked to see more happen there. But a very enjoyable and hard to put down read that put a smile on my face. The Narratoroh boy...can I just say I have so much love for this author!! she is simply wonderful and I love her voice and the way she portrays the perfect tones of the story. She connects to the listener very well and I can't wait to find more books that she narrates. The CoverVery similar to the other covers in the series, not my favorite though. But I like the almost kiss pose. :)Overall ViewBe With Me is a stunning romance that takes the reader from overcoming forbidden boundaries, danger and a murder mystery with some spicy romance to make for a memorable read!!
