About this audiobook
A special film tie-in edition of the heart-warming story about the World’s Worst Dog, adapted from John Grogan’s phenomenally bestselling memoir, Marley and Me.
Meet Marley, a yellow furball of a puppy who quickly grows into a large, rowdy Labrador retriever. Marley is always getting into trouble, whether he is stealing underwear, crashing through doors, or drooling on guests, some may say he’s the World’s Worst Dog!
But those who know and love Marley accept him as a dog like no other. His heart is pure and his larger-than-life personality irresistible. He brings joy to his family, the Grogans, and teaches them what really matters in life.

Reviews for Marley

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I don't have time to read the adult version so I tried this. The adaptation works quite well for younger readers. Young animal lovers will take this adorable galoot's story to heart.
The author and his wife purchase Marley, a Labrador retriever, as a puppy. The owner's reduced price for Marley should have indicated the challenges ahead, but his exuberance wins the couple over. Marley proves to be a big, lovable galoot. He's expelled from obedience school, is frightened by storms to the point of destructiveness, and eats anything, from Kleenex to his mistress' 18K gold necklace. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a funny, heart-warming tribute to a loveable, dopey labrador and a faithful friend. Marley made me laugh and he made me cry. A wonderful story!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Okay this book was sooooo disappointing. They basically took out all of the sad events that occured in Grogon's life. We need to give teens more credit then this.
Marley is a crazy dog. He is a little loopy and funny and basically untrainable. He is petrified of thunder. He drags his masters on walks. He steels food. This book is a basically excerpts all of the funny incidents from the grown up version. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's a really good book if you love animals.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really loved this book . I have already seen the movie Marley and me so i already knew what expect when it came to this book . I really like how simple and entertaining the book is . Marley a dog like no other is a revised story of Marley and me written for younger kids . I don't know how this can be used in a science class but maybe in a English or litterateur. I think readers can compare what is written in the book to what they actually see in the movie . It was a really good read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love this book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Marley is a blond labrador who hates thunder. Marley lives with is owner near a beach will he be allowed to stay?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Marley, A Dog Like No Other, is a juvenile version of the bestseller, Marley & Me. I have not read the adult version, so I cannot compare the two, however, Marley: A Dog Like No Other is a wonderful book in its own right.A true story, based on the life of a lovable yet incorrigible Labrador, this book is a celebration not only of a dog, but of a family as well - one that is willing to see its imperfections and find humor in them. Like a comedian that spends ten minutes setting up the perfect punchline, Grogan has a perfect sense of comedic timing. Even if the reader can guess the outcome of any one of Marley's many escapades, Grogan delivers them with humor. More difficult than humor, however, is conveying the love that the Grogan family has for their dog."We could have bought a yacht with what we spent on our dog and all the things he destroyed. We'd take Marley any day. Yachts don't wait by the door all day for your return. And they don't live for the moment they can climb into your lap or ride down the hill with you on a toboggan, licking your face."Eight pages of color photos are included. This is a humorous and heartwarming book that has just been chosen as the 2009 One Book New Jersey choice for middle grade readers. An excellent choice!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This young peoples' adaptation of the book Marley and Me chronicles John Grogan's years with a lovable goof of a dog. Marley's adventures include flunking out of obedience school, appearing in a movie, and being banned from a local dog beach. Heartwarming, funny, and sad, this is a great family read for animal lovers. The audio recording, read by Neil Patrick Harris, was great. Harris uses lot of different voices and really brings the story to life. (Watch out, though, if you're listening in the car... the last quarter or so is pretty darn sad!)
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is the adapted childrens version of Marley and Me.
