- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It is just SO sweet . It's cool how it is from a different angle.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A series of letters from Paddington Bear to his Aunt Lucy in the Home For Retired Bears in Peru. These are Paddington's own take on the happenings of the original books. As such, the main events are familiar, however there are extra details and differences in interpretation. Reading them reminded me that I really ought to re-read the complete original stories since I've only read A Bear Called Paddington and Paddington At The Zoo since childhood (to my son). I think these are more for older children and adult fans as the letter writing style is less suited to younger children.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I first fell in love with Paddington in 1977, but he hasn't held up well for me. Neither of the kids has ever gone for him, and recent efforts on a re-read went nowhere. This was okay, but it benefited from nostalgia points. Well, that, and filling in the Peruvian backstory.
