About this audiobook
Eva Leigh’s deliciously sexy Wicked Quills of London series continues as a Lady’s secret career writing erotic fiction is jeopardized by real-life romance . . .
In society circles she’s known as the Watching Wallflower—shy, quiet, and certainly never scandalous. Yet beneath Lady Sarah Frampton’s demure façade hides the mind of The Lady of Dubious Quality, author of the most titillating erotic fiction the ton has ever seen. Sarah knows discoverywould lead to her ruin, but marriage—to a vicar, no less—could help protect her from slander. An especially tempting option when the clergyman in question is the handsome, intriguing Jeremy Cleland.
Tasked with unmasking London’s most scandalous author by his powerful family, Jeremy has no idea that his beautiful, innocent bride is the very woman he seeks to destroy. His mission must remain a secret, even from the new wife who stirs his deepest longings. Yet when the truth comes to light, Sarah and Jeremy’s newfound love will be tested. Will Sarah’s secret identity tear them apart or will the temptations of his wallflower wife prove too wicked to resist?

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was the best book in the series in my opinion. I loved the chemistry but I thought the ending was a let down. It didn’t live up to the rest of the book.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Maybe even 3.5 stars, but I can't quite round up. The dialogue and descriptions are pretty good, and the premise of the book is good, but the part in-between the macro and micro, the individual plot points and how they're strung together, were kinda weak in my opinion. Many felt like they were shoe-horned in not because they made sense for the characters and scenario, but purely because the author already knew where she wanted things to end up and then was trying to twist events toward that direction but didn't entirely succeed. How he concluded with complete certainty that the 'woman in gold' was the writer... What?? His reasoning was a preposterously ridiculous leap! And he's supposed to be a scholar too. I'm sure Leigh wanted him to have another lead to follow so she tried to contrive circumstances that would provide it. But honestly, it would have been preferable to say he just felt a hunch in his bones or something rather than use that faulty logic! It's not the end of the world or anything, but it made it so that frequently I was pulled out of the story to focus on its construction rather than the story itself. Additionally, I had been enjoying the hero, but was quite disappointed in his reaction when 'the secret was revealed'. I wasn't particularly surprised, events almost always play out with great drama in these stories, but this seemed particularly wrong for him. Again, like it was done not because it was organically how his character would respond, but because a predetermined formula necessitated a poor reaction so they could overcome and have makeup sex later. =P =D
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5There were passages that I just wanted to clip out and photocopy to hand to all the Romance nay-sayers out there. Leigh, through the character of Sarah, articulately enumerates the ways in which Romance is important and empowering to readers as well as writers of the genre.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5From The Book Junkie Reads . . . Temptations of a Wallflower (The Wicked Quills of London, #3) . . .Sinfully. Scandalously. Sexy. Regency at its best. Wicked Quills. Wicked Wallflowers. Clergy and Wallflower/Author. Will there be a future? One trying to hide the truth. The other trying to discover the truth.I was ready for this ride. Well I thought I was ready for this one. I found much in these pages that kept me turning the next page and then the next page. Can someone shout WICKED indeed. Lady Sarash Frampton was not demure miss in reality. She was the pen behind London's Lady of Quality, most wicked pen in erotic fiction. Keeping that under wraps was her goal. Marrying clergy was the way to keep it that way. Jeremy was giving a job by his prestigious family. Find the author. Expose the author. Never every would he have expected, guessed or even pondered that his demure, quite wife would be the one he seek.I tell you this will be enjoyable from the turning of the first page all the way to the end. You will have a ride that will make the trip so worth the price paid. I have no option but to go out and get the first two novels in The Wicked Quills of London series. **This ARC was provided via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.**
