    Margaret Peterson Haddix grew up on a farm in Ohio. As a kid, she knew two girls who had the exact same first, middle, and last names and shared the same birthday—only one year apart—and she always thought that was bizarre. As an adult, Haddix worked as a newspaper reporter and copy editor in Indiana before her first book, Running Out of Time, was published. She has since written more than forty books for kids and teens, including the Greystone Secrets series, the Shadow Children series, the Missing series, the Children of Exile series, and lots of stand-alones.       So if you could change time and stop bad things, would you? Easy answer, people, NO! There are too many unintended consequences and unforeseen circumstances. As a human in the year 2017 I'm already freaked out about overpopulation, and I imagine that anything good you'd want to do would save lives, so yes, overpopulation in the present is more likely to happen with lives saved in the past, but it could lead to more death. Let's say you stop one war and a worse war results, or you save someone who ends up being patient zero in an epidemic. There are no way to guarantee avoiding negative consequences even doing something wonderful. So yes, I saw what Second was doing and freaked out. I also noticed that again we had multiple kids being saved - probably for the best because 36 books would be quite a long series. This one ended in a bit of a cliff-hanger, so we'll see where the next one goes.

      This book is a very good book to use to introduce science fiction books for older students. Students would respond well to the interesting, sci-fi type of writing, and plot.

      This is the third in the 'Missing' series by author Margaret Peterson Haddix and is for a young adult audience. I picked it up as it had a sci-fi theme and it turned out to be a good story.The main characters are 13 year old time travelers who are sent on a mission to return Virginia Dare (a famous kid stolen from time to be sold to the highest bidder) to her rightful place in history. That was the mission Jonah, Andrea and Katherine thought they were on, but a clandestine character who calls himself 'Second' wants to change, rather than protect, history.What follows is an interesting tale from a Jonah's perspective. This is light weight reading, but I believe it fits perfectly with Haddix's target market.

      The third book in the series that deals with missing children in time. In this book Jonah and Katherine, brother and sister, are again sent back in time to help save another child. This time they are sent with Andrea, who is really Virginia Dare, to the 16th century to the lost colony of Roanoke. Only this time while traveling through time the trip is sabotaged. Not knowing where or when they have landed they must now solve two dilemmas without changing history. How to save Andrea and where is the original Virginia Dare.

      Margret Peterson Haddix's third addition to The Missing Childrens Series was all about brother and sister Jonah and Katherine. But this time, a new character named Andrea was added to the thrilling series. These teens are sent to the 1600's to repair time, but something goes wrong. What it is, is a mystery that you will have to find out by yourself. Andrea learns that she is realy Virginia Dare, the first English girl born in America, and the trio go on a journey to find out what exactly in time they are trying to fix. Haddix is known for thrilling and heart wrenching novels. This one does not have as much of that as the first two books, but there is a lot more drama in this book. Take a look at The Missing Childrens Series, if you haven't already. Trust me, you won't want to ever stop reading Haddix's amasing novels!

      I found this book to be very exciting,suspenseful and entreating I didn't want to put it down!She does great job explaining everything that goes on. and she makes you want to just hate the bad guys and love the good guys

      As the next book in line in the "Missing" series I expected none less than what this book gave me. This book was thrilling and extremely exciting to read. I couldn't put it down once I got into it. The only thing that I didn't like about this amazing book was the fact that it left me wondering what happened at the end. I don't like books that leave me hanging, wondering what is going to happened next. But other than that, I loved reading this book.

      “Found.” “Sent.” “Sabotaged.” Out of these three books I think Sabotaged was the least interesting of the series, don’t get me wrong it was a great book but the first two were better. Sabotaged was about Andrea (another missing child from history) finding out that she is Virginia Dare of 1587. Virginia Dares life is completely unknown except that she was the first English child born in the western hemisphere. In this book Margaret Peterson Haddix does a great job of mixing the things that happened in the first and second book, the Virginia Dare story and the sabotaging. Although this was the least interesting of the series it was still interesting. I love the fact that Margaret Peterson Haddix decided to make the most exciting Events happen in the last couple of chapters in the book because it made me want to keep reading, Even though the book was done! The way the book was written I could tell that the author was passionate about Virginia Dare’s story. The authors note at the back of the book also told me about Virginia Dare’s story and why Margaret Peterson Haddix chose Virginia Dare to be in the missing series. I could not have lived in this time period because I am so used to the 21st century it would probably be hard to get used to the 19th century because there is no TV, internet or cell phones. I guess I am very attached to the conveniences of the 21st century. Probably couldn’t last a week, not even close to how long Jonah and Katherine were there for. I recommend this book to everyone who has read found and sent and recommend this series to Margaret Peterson Haddix’s fans and people who like historical fiction with a twist. Enjoy!
