Another series of the lost completed, and two additional couples were able to learn from each other. They both went through their different lost and painful memories that brought them together and preventing the bad guys coming into the life of Victoria Palmer. Wade having suffered a loss of some loved one on a Beach which was his brother. Again, Wade suffered another loss of his best friend's sister that he loved to a sick-minded killer.
Their journey was not good at all, but somehow, they have faith in her and bring their different secret out bit by bit and gaining more and more. The case did something different for them and they learn from the case and the problems they were faced. They were able to find the killers by going back home and the other followed them back home. But this time they were able to fit things together and with the help of the other police officer they caught up with the last killer.
He was someone she had met before and now was willing to let go and move on with Wade. But he was not letting her go, he decided to kidnap her and take her away but Wade was able to find them. Things got out of hand, Wade was hurt and so did Archer but Flynn was killed. So, back in Atlanta, Marks was also caught, and he was the only one that went to jail for the killings.

I almost skipped this book because I didn't think Victoria and Wade's story would be very interesting. Well, I'm so glad I was wrong because this is a 4-star book.

Both Victoria and Wade have hidden dark secrets deep in their souls. They relive these secrets in their nightmares. Victoria drowns her fears in sexual promiscuity with strangers. Life changes for Victoria when Wade follows her to her favorite pick-up bar and offers himself as a sexual partner. He has always wanted her and now he can have her all to himself. Or so he thought.

This is another great story in this series. Looking forward to the next book.

Torn is another solid entry in the LOST series. Victoria Palmer's job at LOST is as a forensic anthropologist, dealing with the dead. Victoria considers them safer than the living because the living might break the carefully constructed shield that she has built around herself. A past that includes the murder of her mother by her father makes her believe that she could be genetically disposed to be a killer herself causing her to keep everyone at arm's length. Wade, who is one of the founding members of LOST, along with his best friend Gabe, has always honored Victoria's attempts to keep him at a careful distance, but the close calls Victoria had on their last couple of cases has made him change his position. Now he has decided that it is time to break through the wall Victoria has built to keep him out and act upon the dynamic attraction that he knows they both feel for each other. When Victoria is once again put at risk by a serial killer, Wade decides they are never going to be apart again. This story follows the basic serial killer/heroine formula but includes enough additional material to make it an enjoyable read.
