- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Really a 4.5
What a fantastic ending to this series. I really hope we see Elsie and Lizard again in future novels.
Fantastic series. Take a chance. You won't be sorry!! - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Excellent end to the trilogy. You know, in thinking about it, this was really an end to the serialization. And I hate serials.
But as always, Ms. Geary gave me characters to care about in situations just a bit out of the norm so I am okay with serializations in this aspect.
A little bit rougher on language. Nothing horrible or offensive or edgy, just not the clean clean clean I think of her books as being.
Just a sweet end to a sweet story. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another wonderful story in this universe. Ms. Geary provides the reader with a fast paced, fun, and uplifting read. This book will send your soul soaring.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The third and final (boo hoo) installment of the Witches on Parole series landed in my inbox early last week. I don't know what it is about these books (I think Geary puts a magic spell on them or something) but I'm like a child when I find out a new one is headed my way. I will stay up until all hours of the night, ignoring pretty much everything else until I finish it. There is a wonderful magic about this series and these characters...I swear I would love to live in this place and have these characters be my neighbors! Anyway, on to the book review...Elsie and Lizard's time with witchlight is quickly drawing to a close. They have discovered parts of themselves they never new existed and found a sense of belonging and love they never knew they were missing. Both Lizard and Elsie have a large hurdle they need to overcome and with the help of the witching community and each other they are sure to accomplish it.I cannot say enough about this series. In my 25+ years of reading, I can honestly say Geary's books are some of my absolute favorites. How many more ways can I say this...GO READ THIS SERIES!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is the third and final book in the WitchLight trilogy by Debora Geary and another great book about the Witch Central community. This third book about Lizard and Elsie brings their story to an end and tells how they learn to leave their old selves behind and find a new way forward with the women they've learned they are, can be and could be. The women are very different yet become best friends. They have very different hurdles to overcome and aspects of themselves to work on changing yet breaking out of their safe places is equally scary for both of them. With the support and encouragement of all the witches and non-witches, they blossom. Debora tells their story from various points of view, Lizard, Elsie, Lauren, Nat, Jennie and assorted others. The characters have become familiar, and they have become like old friends. The books are all positive, happy ending, and you really wish you could be part of that world. Well, you are for a little while at least, and you look forward to the next installment. I really enjoyed getting to know Elsie and Lizard, watching them come to grips with themselves, each other and the Witch Central mob. I hope we'll see a little of them in future Witch Central books, I would hate to say goodbye to them for good. I want to know how their lives work out!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Another adventure in "Love Land" with two of my favorite evolving witches, Lizard and Elsie with a supporting cast of many, all there to provide support and love for those newbies just finding their way. I really enjoy the non-witch Natalie, pregnant as ever surprising her witch husband and neighbors while still teaching Yoga. I do have difficulty reading Debora's books with any speed because of the frequent tweaks to my emotions that call up tears and blur my eyes. I've been reading her books long enough now so that I seek semi-private locations to read, so I'm not embarrassed to shed tears openly. Maybe it is my advanced age (72) that makes me more susceptible to emotional triggers. I did feel a close affinity to Charlie Tosh and Jennie and could see myself in similar roles (I still am holding on to my chemical dark room but, don't use it often). I love the situations that Elsie and Lizard find themselves in and experience joy with their successes. Reading is really vicarious living! If you haven't had a witch adventure with one of Debora Geary's books, you owe yourself a treat. All of them are great and you couldn't miss with any of them. They are a real bargain for Kindle!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/55 STARSI have been looking forward to this book and it did not disapoint me.Witches In Flight is the last of WitchLight Trilogy which is a spinoff ofModern Witch series that I also love. These books have such a community of caring for one another and being their while some are searching and learning. They are books that keep your interest in them high and don't have to worry about swearing and sex scenes. Just fun books that make you want to be better nieghbors. In book three we have Lizard and Elsie getting ready to fly and move on from WitchLight. They both have grown in different ways and its fun to see how much they have changed.Lizard is still writing poems for her class and she has to make choices of where she wants to go forward. She has many offers on the table. Money if she wants to sell her idea, working with Josh, or working still with Lauren dating Josh.Elsie is still flying on trapeze, doing things out of silly jar. Trying to decide if she wants to go back to her practice or try different ways to help others. These stories have great characters in them. From grump old men to brand new babies. All are reaching out to each other and helping to lift ones higher. Now I have to wait months for her next book in the Modern Witch series.I was given this ebook and asked to share my honest review of the book.3/27/2012 PUB.
