      What the actual f$%^k was this ending? The bad guy gets away with it? I did not like this book at all. It seemed like it took forever for it to get even remotely interesting. When it did get somewhat interesting I was appalled at Alice for going along with the ruthless Karen. I figured this story would not end well for Alice and I was right.

      the story took forever to unravel although the idea was interesting. Also i have noticed that all these "mystery" books have 1 thing in common - the main character is an unloved child who tends to blame parents and friends and everyone else for their misfortunes. Everyone else is responsible for their unhappy life but not they themselves. Getting a little bit tired of this tendency

      It was a weird ending and anticlimactic to boot so a hard skip.

      I really liked how Alice bettered herself, became more worldly and stood up for herself. The ending ruined my enjoyment too much to rate higher. Alice’s triumph at the end was the only reason I kept listening. Disappointing.
