- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I loved the front cover of this book and the synopsis was intriguing, but the author failed to deliver. I hated the names of the two main characters, Sphinxie and Cadence, and although it started chillingly well, it never really went anywhere. I was hoping for an intriguing psychological thriller that would have me on the edge of my seat and in abject fear whenever Sphinxie and Cadence were alone together, but alas I once again ended up with mediocrity. Sphinxie was basically weak and annoying, and Cadence was just sick, both mentally and physically. I didn't care what happened to either of them. Blah!
