About this audiobook
After losing her job and leaving her beloved husband, journalist Gemma Hendricks is sure that scoring an interview with Colin Firth will save her career and marriage. So she goes to Boothbay Harbour where he's rumoured to be filming that summer. But a heart-tugging local story about women, family ties, love, and loss captures her heart instead.
‘This is a fun, highly-readable story that begs to be discussed and should be a winner with book clubs!' NEW YORK TIMES

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I would describe this as a light read, something you can relax with. Some of the topics are serious but unless you have a similar personal story, this isn't a book that will wear you out emotionally.A pleasant read for when you don't want anything too fast paced or suspenseful.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Not as light and frothy as the Ali McNamara chick lit novels that I've been reading recently, but it's an excellent read with some real depth and substance to it. I'd happily recommend it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Told by alternating narrators, March's book touches on many facets of family, both lost and found, with a little romance for interest. This was a quick, light read and while none of the characters really popped for me individually, together, they made a good story. The path of the three main characters all lead to Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Bea is a young woman searching for answers after a belated deathbed confession. Veronica has come home to Boothbay after years of living across the country. And Gemma seems to be both hiding and searching for meaning after downsizing leaves her without a job. Colin Firth is set to star in a movie filming in this Maine town and everyone wants to be a part of that magic.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5What an adorable story! I could not wait to get back to BoothBay and all the wonderful characters. I want to live there! A definite feel-good story filled with warm, strong women each at a crossroad in their life. The title definitely drew me to this book - being a long-time fan of the very handsome Colin Firth - does he know about this book?? How flattering!! This is the second book I have read recently that involved pies and how they transformed lives. Hmm, maybe I should start baking more of them?? Despite making me want to go eat pie, this delicious novel was a lovely escape when I definitely needed it.
