- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5unusual thriller
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Picked this up on a book swapping website and did not expect too much from it, especially as I am one of the few people in this world never to have seen a James Bond film. When the hefty 600-page tome dropped through the letterbox I assumed that it would be the kind-of-thing that would still be sitting in the "To Be Read" pile for many years to come. But, after randomly picking it up one day, I'm glad I did. What it contained was a hugely entertaining thriller that just provides enough information at a time to keep you asking questions without giving it all away. Add to this nice short sections that make it easy to put-down and pick-back-up again make this an extremely enjoyable.Only complaint was that I sometimes lost track of some of the characters and would have to go flicking back to try and see the name again. Not a big issue, as Mark Burnell neatly wraps up any loose ends and ensures that the characters appear just often enough to keep them in-the-loop.Mark Burnell may never be regarded as the next Shakespere, but he can certainly write a good "just one more page" novel. Go on, give it a go
