About this audiobook

Author Coleen Murtagh Paratore brings fairytale love stories into modern fashion through the eyes of 12-year-old cherry-cordial eater and classic-literature reader Willafred Haversham. What Willa wishes for most in the world is a father, but so far no luck. When she and her wedding planner mother, Stella, move back home to Cape Cod, Willa's luck begins to change. With help from her best friend Tina and candymaking Nana, Willa decides wishing for a father isn't enough-it's time to take action.

Willa is spunky, well-read, and has a unique voice. Her escapes around the town of Bramble on Cape Code are not to be missed.

Willa and her mother have lived all over the Northeast but now they have settled in her mother's hometown of Bramble on Cape Cod. Willa loves it there but she knows it is only a matter of time until her mother, a famous wedding planner, wants to move again. Willa is determined to find a husband for her mother so she can fulfill her lifelong wish to have a father. She finds the perfect candidate in her new neighbor. This was a fun book. Willa is not yet 13 so this book is definitely a tween more than teen book. Willa's family and friends are a nice set of people that should make a fun series. I will probably by reading more in the series.
