About this audiobook
You're going to wish you never picked up this book.
Some facts are too terrifying to teach in school. Unfortunately, Cracked.com is more than happy to fill you in:
A zombie apocalypse? It could happen. 50% of humans are infected with a parasite that can take over your brain.
The FDA wouldn't let you eat bugs, right? Actually, you might want to put down those jelly beans. And that apple. And that strawberry yogurt.
Think dolphins are our friends? Then these sex-crazed thrill killers of the sea have you right where they want you.
The most important discovery in the history of genetics? Francis Crick came up with it while on LSD.
Think you're going to choose whether or not to buy this book? Scientists say your brain secretly makes all your decisions 10 seconds before you even know what they are.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I FOUND OUT IM A ZOMBIE. DARN IT. ID APOLIGUZE BUT ITS SOMEONE ELSE.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I loved Cracked. They're awesome. This book is no exception. It's the usual high-quality, disturbing, funny stuff I expect from them. If you like the site, definitely pick up the book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was so funny. Listening to it on audio was the best. I couldn't stop laughing. LOL
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Technically speaking, it's just a compilation of Cracked articles. With funny images. And colorful commentaries on the authors. And zombies, sex and gross/awesome things
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very interesting book. I enjoyed it a lot.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5As an avid fan of cracked.com (but not the old magazine, which was awful), I looked forward to reading "You Might be a Zombie and other Bad News ...". And while the lists contained the type of humour that I like about "Cracked", sadly in my case Samuel Johnson's statement "Your manuscript is both good and original; but the parts that are good are not original, and the parts that are original are not good" seems apt. Much of what you find in "You Might be a Zombie ..." has already been published on cracked.com and while they were funny the first time around, not so much the second time. However I presume the Cracked people have removed the relevant stories from their site so if you haven't read cracked.com before you could well bust your spleen laughing while reading "You might be a Zombie ..."
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A collection of odd facts and trivia gathered by the website, Cracked.com. If you are familiar with that website, you will know that the language can be ribald, the facts somewhat frivolous, but always amusing. The narrator, Johnny Heller, hit just the right tone in his reading. If you are interested in what color reduces violence in prison inmates, which adorable animals are very scary or who the wildest presidents were in our nation, this book might be for you. If you avoid strong language, it won't appeal to you.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5You Might Be a Zombie and other Bad News. 5 CDs. 6 hrs. unabridged. Tantor Audio. 2014. ISBN 978149500245. $39.99. Hilarious and intriguing, this audiobook will fill in all the gaps in your childhood education that you never knew were missing. Cracked.com compiled the zaniest, most terrifyingly mind blowing lists of bizarre factoids, stories, and history for your listening pleasure. This compilation covers science, pop culture, nature, urban legends, psychology, historical intrigues, and will leave you questioning everything you ever thought you knew. Jellybeans, dolphins, the color blue, IBM, LSD, and poop are just some of the many things you will find yourself learning about. Listeners will become vastly more prepared for obscure Jeopardy questions and bar trivia. Narrator and two time Audie Award winner, Johnny Heller, brilliantly narrates this ridiculously hilarious compilation and clearly has a great time in the process. For fans of trivia, humor, and history. - Erin Cataldi, Johnson County Public Library, Franklin, IN
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Never heard about cracked.com, so the book title jumped out at me and I had to read it. The stories are funny, crazy and makes you stop, pause and raise your eyebrown every now and again and oh the language...let's just say, it's not orthe faint of the heart unless you have a sense of humour :-)
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I'd never read any Cracked.com content on the net and this book was a recommendation from a colleague. There is a definitive style that the writers have, an ability to wrap up every single fact with humour. Some of it is witty, some taboo, some geeky (after all, they love the word 'fricking') and all of it hits the mark. The facts therein are well structured and interesting, some rather Americanised, however it's the pinnacle of edutainment - if you like to smile/grin/chuckle whilst you learn. A book for anyone. A book for everyone!
