About this audiobook

Eighteen-year-old Kricket Hollowell was looking for her place in the world when she discovered that the universe was bigger—and more dangerous—than she had ever dreamed. Now, whisked across space to the planet Ethar, Kricket learns that her genetic ability to see the future makes her a sought-after commodity…and the catalyst for war between her star-crossed parents’ clans. According to Alameedan prophecy, one house will rise to power and the other will be completely wiped out, and Kricket’s precognition is believed to be the weapon that will tip the scales.

A target of both the Rafe and the Alameeda houses, Kricket finds protection—and a home—in the arms of Trey, her Etharian bodyguard-turned-boyfriend. But her visions of what’s to come disturb her deeply, especially since she must discover whether the gift of foresight will allow her to rewrite the future, or if her fate is as immovable as the stars.

The highly anticipated sequel to Under Different Stars, winner of four 2014 utopYA Awards.

Even better than the first book and still hard to put down. Kricket is still amazing and even more badass. I love Trey even more too, as well as the other cavars. This series just keeps giving me more, more to love and more to soak in. And of course, on to the next book.

Whew! It took me forever to finished this book. This is just okay for me. I like the first book better. But since the ending is a cliff hanger, I'm definitely looking forward to read the 3rd installment of this series. And I definitely want Kricket to end with Trey, so I'm keeping my fingers cross.

Rated 4.5Sea of Stars picks up right where the last ended, with Kricket and her gang hanging low and jumping every whisper, creak, or sudden noise...and for good reason, there are people out there that still want her. That still believe she belongs to them. When I read the first book just before this sequel, it surprised me how much I enjoyed it and I'd have to say Kricket, Trey, Jax, and Wayra won me over heart and soul. In fact, the boys are what really make this series. Their bond, loyalty and friendship is something to be envied. I love how they interact with one another and with Kricket. They are fierce warriors with hearts of pure gold and they will do anything to protect her. Their witty banter and great one liners are just a few of the things that make this series truly fantastic and such a joy to read.In this book, Trey ramps everything up, and I do mean everything! He and Kricket together were just magic. It isn't easy for them, I mean, is it ever but these two work together like no other and I loved seeing their relationship blossom. Although I especially loved seeing Kricket blossom. She grows a lot from the first book. Gone is the meek girl and instead we have one who's willing to fight for her survival and for those that she loves. She might have Trey, Jax, and Wayra on her side, but they have her on their side as well. She fought every bit as much and as hard for them in this as they did for her and I absolutely loved it.Not only is Kricket growing as a fighter but her powers are too. We learn so much more about her. About what she is capable of and a little more about her parents as well. So many questions were answered that I had from the first book but of course like all good trilogies, this second installments also raised many new ones in need of an answer.Kyon was, well Kyon. He's evil and mad and yet you see that weird softer side of him every now and then and you can't help but hope...well, just have hope that there is so much more to him. That a good guy, a good heart, exists somewhere in him.I absolutely loved this. It was such an amazing sequel to the first. It lived up to the goodness of the first book and amplified all that I loved about it. There was more action, more romance and it was so much darn fun to read. Once again I was blown away by how much I enjoyed this. I just couldn't get enough of it. Jack Murphy

I received this free eARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.I love NetGalley! The second and third novels of this series were put up and I got BOTH OF THEM!So I loved the continuation of Kricket and Trey's story. Let me tell you, it doesn't get any kinder to Kricket - she's always in some sort of trouble and is always running away from Kyon (he is one determined dude, that's for sure!). I seriously just want to give that girl a vacation to a spa where she can finally relax and not keep looking over her shoulder. The relationship between Kricket and Trey is adorable. I hope after that terrible ending their relationship will last through everything, because I have a feeling Kricket is about to get into a lot of trouble and things might ruin her and Trey's bond. I sincerely hope not, because I might then hate this series, but I have faith in Amy Bartol that she won't make that terrible error in her characters...I have seriously fallen in love with this series and cannot wait to read the ending! I will definitely be recommending this to other readers - friends or patrons!
