About this audiobook
Oscar Wilde
Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) was an Irish poet and playwright who rose to global fame in the 1880s as a larger-than-life public persona with plays such as The Importance of Being Earnest, An Ideal Husband, and Lady Windermere's Fan. The author of countless brilliant epigrams that form part of our popular lexicon, he was sentenced to two years of hard labor in prison for having relations with men, which ruined his reputation and career. Upon his release he exiled himself in France, where he died penniless. Today Wilde is celebrated as a courageous crusader for free expression, gay love, and anyone oppressed by hypocritical conventions.

Tnx to the Writer for write such a great audio book!! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Oscar Wilde's madcap farce about mistaken identities, secret engagements, and lovers entanglements still delights readers more than a century after its 1895 publication and premiere performance. The rapid-fire wit and eccentric characters of The Importance of Being Earnest have made it a mainstay of the high school curriculum for decades.
Cecily Cardew and Gwendolen Fairfax are both in love with the same mythical suitor. Jack Worthing has wooed Gwendolen as Ernest while Algernon has also posed as Ernest to win the heart of Jack's ward, Cecily. When all four arrive at Jack's country home on the same weekend the "rivals" to fight for Ernest's undivided attention and the "Ernests" to claim their beloveds pandemonium breaks loose. Only a senile nursemaid and an old, discarded hand-bag can save the day!
This Prestwick House Literary Touchstone Edition includes a glossary and reader's notes to help the modern reader appreciate Wilde's wry wit and elaborate plot twists. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is Excellent audio book for The Importance of Being Earnest.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This Audiobook Amazing and Intresting Very important information is given in the audio book The price of this audiobook is also very low By purchasing this audiobook, modern literature a complete impossibility and Oscar wilde write amazing book i like this book so, I prefer you must purchase this book and read it.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The truth is rarely pure and never simple. Modern life would be very tedious if it were either, and modern literature a complete impossibility! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I'm still in awe of Oscar Wilde's broad spectrum of authorship. From children's stories (in which there are social satires here and there) to silly and humorous plays that are still filled with social satire in every dialogue. This made me even more curious and wanted to read another famous Wilde work, The Picture of Dorian Gray. Wilde's work seems like a delightful satirical reading. many things that can be taken from this book, amazing
